I still have high hopes for this procedure - not just because I'm well aware of the suffering that nerve damage can cause and I truly hope a solution becomes available to people, but also because I had to go through with a back surgery to get a spinal fusion to ease nerve damage. There isn't a day that goes by where I don't dread the day when I will need another fusion. And I feel like this is the sort of medical miracle that could be a saving grace.

scared to get my hopes up. I have DDD and a neurologist I spoke with is under the impression that the disc is in such bad shape that I need a spinal fusion. but I've read committing to this will cause so many other issues in the long and short term. I've been looking in every corner to see if I had any reason whatsoever to feel hope, and now I find this. but I just don't know. (the surgery isn't scheduled yet and is still in the approval phase.)

@@chrisgrady4466 I never saw this response. I think my KZbin account is messed up because I rarely receive reply notifications. Ultimately, I wound up getting the spinal fusion, and while my nerve issues have improved, I now deal with permanent back pain that never seems to go away. At this point, I'm still looking into disc treatments since I know I'm going to be dealing with more disc damage in the future.

Im from canada! They are doing studies in Alberta i believe. Usually the states is the first to get everything !

@Alyssa501 I think the US is starting to realize that other countries version of the FDA is easier to get around so they do the studies in places like Colombia. I'm hoping it gets commercialized sooner rather than later
