Even Tom Baker was in awe of Patrick Troughton.

This made me realize we were robbed of 4 and 2 together. Imagine the all the chaos they would have caused. They might have been the only incarnations of the Doctor to actually like each other.
@scottishjedi15223 жыл бұрын
The Time Lords could’ve never let those 2 incarnations of the Doctor get together. They predicted that if they did, they’d have probably accidentally tore a hole in the space time continuum the size of Russia.

Nah. Two would find a way to wind Four up like he did with Three. :P "Would you like a Jelly baby?" "That's my line! I invented it!" "No you didn't! It was me! Ask Jamie!"

It's a shame they didn't talk much about Hartnell. Not many appreciate what he brought to the role and to an extent created. I think the video of Capaldi's words on him say it best.

I love how Tom hijacks the panel and nobody minds, hah. Who in their right minds would?

If Jon and Pat were there, possibly. :P Both liked to get up to hijinks at events.

Tom talking about Troughton like that has oddly made me cry

I love what they say about Patrick, if there wasn't enough proof in the series that he was the best doctor, then the fact that most of the actors looked up to him should be.
@julieeverett74423 жыл бұрын
Patrick was the first TRUE doctor, the majority of the things we know as dr who came from him, and he had the hardest job of all, if he couldnt make the regeneration idea work we wouldnt have the show

@@julieeverett7442 If you actually watch the William Hartnell era, Hartnell really did bring in so much more of what the Doctor would later become than people give him credit for. He gets stereotyped as just a grumpy man (and since Twice Upon a Time, as a horribly sexist bigot) but it's a false construct of later generations - he brought so much humor, warmth, intelligence, curiosity, madness, and alien-ness to the role! In his first couple of stories he's certainly more of a mysterious anti-hero, but that only lasts for those first few stories. Watch anything from The Keys of Marinus onwards (particularly honorable mentions go to The Sensorites, The Reign of Terror, The Romans, The Time Meddler, The Gunfighters, and The Savages), and you'll see how Doctorly he truly was!

@@eclecticdog2k901 I have watched him, and all of his stories bar 2 are sitting on my shelf. I agree he brought a great deal to the role

He was the most important incarnation after Hartnell- if he didn’t nail it, the show would’ve died in 1966.

People don't give Jon Pertwee enough credit. The show went through quite an overhaul in his time going into colour, and managed to pull in strong ratings.

Imagine if during the convention somebody announced: "Ladies and gentlemen, the biggest surprise for the 50th Anniversary of Doctor Who, ALL the living Doctors will be appearing in the 50th Anniversary special! Please welcome Peter Davison, Colin Baker, Sylvester McCoy, Paul McGann, Christopher Eccleston, David Tennant, Matt Smith, and the legendary Tom Baker himself!"

40GamesAG One can dream. My father asked me today: "Imagine if all the Doctors were still alive, who would you most want to meet?" and I was like: "William Hartnell".

timrob12 Maybe if we actually invent a working TARDIS we can go back into the past and meet them. That would be wonderful.
@timrob1210 жыл бұрын
40GamesAG Yeah. Let's just hope that we won't accidently end up on Skaro.
