Regensburg Fire Department - the documentary - People in our city

This documentary shows the everyday life of the fire-fighters from the Regensburg City career Fire Department in Germany. There's a lot going on in the 2000 year old city at the Danube river, and here we see how the only full time station in the city provides safety for the people. Emergencies like structure fires, high angle rescue operations, water rescue exercises and much more - all in this documentary.

Good documentary. My 4 year old grandson has watched it at least a hundred times and now tells everyone that he is a German Firefighter. This has created a small problem though, the documentary has convinced him that German Firefighters eat only spaghetti and pancakes! Plain pancakes at that, I can't even get him to try Apfelpfannkuchen or any other German dish I make. So if you make another video please show the Firefighters eating some vegetables!!!

Very well done, a pleasure to watch (and educational). I found the daily routine of the Firefighters especially interesting. We may have been on the job in different countries, but there are many similarities in the work day. Thank you for posting.

It's all the same job. It is so interesting to see the daily similarities between the German and American career fire service. Traditions may differ, but the job is the same and those that do it are undoubtedly united by the fact that fire is fire regardless of the continent.

In dem Fall war es nur für die Filmzwecke simuliert. Meist kommt noch vor dem Alarmgong, vermutlich während der Anrufer noch in der Leitung ist und der Einsatz in der Leitstelle entgegengenommen wird, eine kurze Durchsage was und wo "z.B. Unfall auf A3" sodass die, die definitiv fahren, sich schon fertig machen; Eine komplette Durchsage kommt dann noch danach, in dem Fall der hiesigen Aufnahme jedoch nur "Problealarm - Probealarm - Ende des Probealarms"

Ach, das "Amt für Brand- undZivilschutz" oder wie das heißt, in der Greflinger... Schönes Material, da in diesem Jahr das Budget für einen Neubau (sprich: Abriss des Bestandsgebäudes) genehmigt wurde. Historisch wertvoll :-)
