Going on the Regent Explorer March 2, 2020 for 10 Days! Can't wait! Booked it through Mike Lukins of Affluent Journeys, and I highly recommend him when you consider a cruise (and no, I did not get paid to say that!). Just went on the Silversea "Silver Spirit" 2 months ago that he booked, have the Seabourn "Encore" cruise in the Mediterranean this Sep 2019, this Regent Explorer in Mach 2020, and the new Ritz Carlton "Azora" mega yacht for a Canada/New England cruise in Sep 2020. Worked with Mike on all, and appreciate the benefits he can provide that may not be available direct booking through the cruise line!

We have friends who take this line all the time and love it. It's the only cruise line they will take. Stay away from the giant cruise ships...UGH the crowds!

Beautiful ship. I am convinced to take a cruise on this line. A couple of suggestions. Plates are not "flat wear" Flatware is silver ware. Good grief! Also who cares who made the plates. They are beautiful but I sure hope you don't do that when you go to someone's house for dinner...That's a No-no! Thank you for the tour of the ship.

Decent video. Thanks for it. Regent is a great line and I've been on them since 2007 (love the Mariner). Advice: Get a mic that doesn't have the wind so noticeable and "affluent" people don't need to advertise as such.

Ed Evans in every luxurious institute, guest do not eat in those plates. Immediately after you order your food, they cook it in the kitchen, serve it in a different plate and bring it to the table and replace it with the empty plate in front of you. Those plates are on the table for decoration and attraction. I will not eat in a plate that has sat on a table in a room filled with germs in the air for more than 20 minutes. So do not worry, I am sure he is well aware of hygiene and sanitation in those places.

I don't see how this ship can be the most luxurious cruise ship ever built as it does not have an indoor pool. Other cruise ships, such as the Queen Mary 2 (which is actually an ocean liner), Holland America ships and Celebrity ships have indoor pools. Indoor pools have great merit, and are almost mandatory, for cruises where the weather is not ideal, such as Alaska or European cruises.
