Where is THIS music today in the reggae world? Gone are the days of playing music with integrity and purpose. Jamaica is no longer putting out talent and as you can see the biggest bands/Singers are from outside of JA. Nuff Raspect to the pioneers of Jah Music.. Me thank you and many tanks for uploading this classic...

This was my first of seven years to trek to Jamaica specifically to attend and photograph Reggae Sunsplash Festival. 83, 84 and 86 through 90. I took between 1200 and 1500 photos of each festival and audio taped every note of the last three of those years. RASpect and LOVE to all the promoters and performers, and especially the Jamaican PEOPLE who made it so special!

A lot of younger people will see a video like this and think that image quality in TV and video used to be really low resolution, but it's only because the original film was transferred to a VHS tape. If you saw it broadcast on TV, it would have good resolution. Anyway, just something to put out there in case you weren't alive in the 80's and thought that was the case. But as for the music, well this was a great time in Jamaican music (the early 80's) when it was the Rub-a-dub era.
