JON PHILLIPS Doin' Time with Sublime

Jon talks about the Sublime classic "Doin' Time" (Summertime) and how that song almost didn't get to be on the Sublime album. As A&R for Gasoline Alley, Jon Philips signed Sublime and managed the band as they produced their third and most successful album. Today, as head of Silverback Management, he reps many successful bands including Slightly Stoopid and Fishbone.

Interestingly, not the first time that Sublime would need to clear a sample with the Gershwin estate. Sublime also featured Gershwin's 'Rhapsody in Blue' in the saxophone solo on "What Happened."

Agree. Should have leaked by now. Any sublime news????? I wonder. Any brad concert they found??? If brad had unreleased songs. They do what blind melon did. They built up the songs.
