It's a throwback because at the start of the 4th movie, Martin thought Reggie ate his whole snacks and shit, and it was his wife Theresa who yeeted that shit in the garbage bin to force him to diet which he later found out by watching the house cameras (that's also when you find out that the whole house has cameras which is the ones you see through during the action sequence to those two scenes act as a throwback and premonition of each other).

Oh, I saw that one immediately, first time seeing the scene. I suspect he did it because Reggie is military, he was already playing call of duty, so he turned up the volume so the neighbors would figure, "Oh, yeah, the marine next door is just playing his video games again and has the volume turned up", and not even think twice when the real gunfight started. He was covering his ass there. Very quick, very smart thinking, doing that to prevent scaring the neighbors.

Reggie was never a scared boy, matter of fact, he was well honest and disciplined boy since the beginning. And yet he is well disciplined and well sense of humor guy in this Movie too. He just did what he have to do for his Family. Other wise he is just a kind Guy.
@technotic_us5 ай бұрын
I mean, we don't know a damn thing about Reggie before he showed up to take Megan out. This story is how you choose to see it and I respect that, but he's a fictional character in a fictional world written out on paper to incite certain emotional responses from the audience, to entertain them and satisfy them. So it seems like the movie did just that for you. Real life is unscripted, even when we try to script it. Chaos theory kicks in at what seems like the worst moment sometimes. But that's life. That said, movies also influence societal behavior, and the challenge for every director is connecting with the intended audience. A movie is usually successful though when it connects with viewers in a way that is positive and encourages above average goodness. But it's not always positive influence. An example of how movies can influence behavior was when the first Fast and the Furious came out. I remember it. I drove my ex and I there in her Eclipse. The parking lot was full of burnouts and stupidity but I admit even I felt a desire to drive like a street race on the way home. I didn't. But that weekend, there was an overwhelming number of street races and deaths or severe injuries nationwide. All the guys with the AutoZone accessory aisle on their car suddenly thought they were Dom or Brian, professional street racers with the right cars for it. And conveniently, after coming out of the theater, you're in a parking lot full of dudes who just watched it too and feel the urge to race. Police departments put out warnings. but I'm getting off topic. This is way too long anyway 😂 I just meant to point out that you were creating an even more fictional background for an already fictional character, but that's what people do. Even with real people. They see what they want to see.b

@@technotic_us he wrong about him not being scared but you reaching saying he put a false view of the character he literally said things that the character does show in the movie which is the joke of his character that no man is good for Martin's daughter as a dad.

When Mike pulled his weapon, Reggie stood strong, determined to take Meghan out. Who's scared?
@technotic_us5 ай бұрын
@@cybern9ne I mean, that's what the script told him to do. Someone spends a lot of time coming up with a whole idea, writing it out, how each character will interact, who will die, who will live, who will knock on the door and who will have to try not to laugh as martin and will adlib. You know damn well that that shit wouldn't go down like that. The wife walking up all calm and casual while will Smith is putting a gun in Reggie's face. Don't forget how bad ass Mike lawry was when he shot through a bottle, scraped Marcus's ass, and hit the redneck in the neck before he could use his shotgun to blow Marcus's head off. Or how bad ass it was when they were sitting on the couch talking about the word flaccid and mike's mom's tiddies. I do love that line, "what kind of freak ass store is this?! And you two Mothafuckas need Jesus." Personally, I think Deadpool is a fun dude. Reggie's dead. Deadpool killed him. Noones scared.
@eatp8nt5 ай бұрын
If you're talking a literal sense then yes Reggie was in fact scared during that bad boys 2 scene. That was his first time acting. Martin Lawrence and will smith were told to come up with something that would help loosen Reggie up. Reggie wasnt made aware of that. That scene is improvised so his scared/nervous reaction is real.

@@sergiostzera7002 English is the undisputed most descriptive and widely used language in the world. So much so that most languages don't have an equivalent word to many English words, you're not smarter just because you were born to use a half baked language and had to learn a proper language in order to get anywhere in life. As an example, do you know what the Russian, french, polish and everyone else in the worlds word for "tank" is? That's right you guessed it, it's tank. You can see similar examples in most languages, in India half of their words are English thrown in with native words because they had no words for the things we brought. You are like everyone else in the world who thinks you are superior because you know a language other than your own. Pathetically really. Englands inventions and the English language have influenced the world far more than any other country in history. So don't be so quick to judge when you are in fact a product of Britain's absolute dominance.

The Reggie scene is about as perfect an action scene as you get. Everything about it was action packed and smart. He hesitated for just a sec to get his mind around it but once it was repeated and confirmed, Reggie turned into professional. He turned up the volume on the TV to hinder his enemy. He got his family secured first, then he retrieved a safely stored gun from his quick safe. Then, he did his best to keep the fight away from where his family was. Once he secured the area, he fired off a bad ass salute and got his family out of there. As in all the time they built setting up Reggie as a member of the family and you get this.

He did response in a "what?" but immediately switched to full combat knowing the situation was serious. This is how every movie character should response when they receive such a call, unlike the usual delays of: "What do you mean there's an incoming?" "What do they want?" "Where are you?" "OMG Should I call the police?" "But are you coming home for dinner?"
