Salute to Bomb1st, Reggie, and John. I used to think that 2Pac most likely probably would've violated his bail in regards to the fight. Yet I've concluded that had the shooting never happened and word of the assault did not get back to New York (including the law enforcement, prosecutors, those assigned to/involved with the 2Pac's bail hearing, etc), 2Pac probably would've been fine and not have violated him being out on bail. Aside from Death Row's business structure not being in place properly, it's safe to say that to some degree Suge really did try to take care of his artist and did on some levels.

Let's be real, the only reason Baby Lane was arrested, prosecuted, and convicted in the murder of 2Pac was the fact that LVPD didn't want to collaborate with CPD in solving the case. LVPD didn't want that case solved because it would've been a circus in Las Vegas. The adult version of Disneyland is surrounded in controversy due to the biggest rap star in the world (at that time) getting murdered there. Imagine that murder trial being held there. If LVPD would've collaborated with CPD, the murder case could've been solved no more than 6-9 months simply because much of the evidence and all was in Compton. Yet again, LVPD didn't want to solve that case.

Tupac was out on bail pending the outcome of his appeal, right? What are the odds that Tupac's appeal of his sex abuse conviction in New York would have been granted by the Appellate Division / Court of Appeals? What were the grounds for that appeal? Appeals, from my understanding, are very rarely granted in criminal cases. I don't disagree with Reggie that Tupac would not have been charged with the Anderson assault had the shooting never occurred, but the appeal was still hanging over his head.
