I gotta disagree with the whole "other than that Kurupt is cool" nonsense. When a grown man painfully pries open a 12 year old..there's no redemption or focus on their good traits. Its all null. 21 years old means he's fully developed. Also, the way Kurupt tells it..makes it worse than it would be on average. As a man I never speak on things like this, but it directly applies in this case. I think it was the Dogg Pound joint "Let's Play House" where "Young Gotti" says he's "a whole 9 and a half on that Black ass". Now apply that Black ass to a prepubescent little girl. Refer back to the "painfully pries open" I spoke on above. So there's no redeeming qualities to defer to against something like that. If anything, it's a hint to his overall character. Its easy to believe he'd switch sides and smile in people's face then diss them behind their back. He bloodily busts babies open..why wouldn't he? Also, poppin' open babies is a weird novelty. No grown man is going to do that one time just for a little variety like f**king a Polynesian woman or something. A man that would do that is attracted to little girls. Hence, likely has more victims. Reggie did wonderful work putting that out there. The only redemption is if it's not true. Please don't spin it to make Kurupt part of the decent human being collective. He's not. He's a weirdo. Not those artistic charge-leading weirdos. But those Must-have-crawled-out-the-sewer weirdos. With that said..please continue the divine work and out the other weirdo.

@@reggiewright thank you..If it was someone I knew personally..depending on how close I am to them..I probably wouldn't feel as harsh..or express it as harshly. So i can understand having been in the mix and all, why you wouldn't be or feel as cold about it. You already did better than any of us could by putting it out. I'm not totally detached to it. I'm a New Yorker who's FAVORITE music and era was that '96 Death Row era..second to that would be '95..and "Dogg Food" was one of the best joints that year. I remember the sound quality was revolutionary. That CD was crispier than anything that came out before it..Then "All Eyez On Me" kept up the standard..and other labels had to play catch up and get their engineering up. Shout out to Quik if he engineered that album..I'm not sure. But "Dogg Food" changed and upped the quality of how Hip Hop sounds. It's a shame that a major player in that accolade was on what he was on. It's almost as bad a blow as Bambaataa. Whoever coined "Never Meet Your Heroes" was on point 😆

Yep. People tend to revise history to paint themselves in a better light. I started to notice it happening with my own generation when I hit my early thirties and I think it's because that is when those who I went to school with that started having children while still in highschool are suddenly dealing with their own 15 and 16 year old kids who are giving THEM the same hell that they gave their parents and teachers. As a lifelong square and nerd it always makes me chuckle to hear mid-40s dudes who were jailbirds and criminals and women who were thots back in the 90s ranting about today's generation having 'no respect'. And Reg kept it extra real at the end. Kurupt was far from the only one. This type of thing was prevalent in the 90s. And not just with celebrities either. I remember high school girls openly bragging about their 'man' coming to pick them up after class. That Surviving R Kelly documentary had a whole lot of 90s artists shaking in their boots.

DPG added kicking over the buildings in the NY NY video after the shooting. Before that the video was more like a tribute to NY. After their trailer got shot up, things changed. That had nothing to do with Pac. Reggie, is also right about that House of Blues concert. I get it the Dogg Pound was cool with Biggie before that incident in 95. Snoop did perform the original version to the Keep It Real (Party People) that same night also, the song where he diss'd Biggie during the second verse. Again people, Snoop and the DPG feelings changed over time. They were mad at Bad Boy for the New York, New York music video trailer shooting incident. Several songs were made in response to that. Yet, they still were able to mend things later in time. Reggie is right. It wasn't all on 2Pac. Part of the reason 2Pac went so hard at them was the fact that Bad Boy was responding and dissin' him as well. Keep speaking the real and setting the record straight.

I heard KURUPT is a really good dude. My home girl from the Bay produced a track with him about 10 years ago. They did the sesh together not just thru email. Said he was chill and super respectful. They linked in Hollywood wit Super Jr. (Your Berg Hey Sexy Lady singer).

Pac said that "hustlers hardly think of culture" So I appreciate the respect that you have for it. My two cents: Dr Karenga is brilliant. He is scholar and author. He wrote the book "coming forth by day" to name one. He also taught African American History @ CSU Long Beach. Amen Rahh and his Son Ku'umba Rahh was there as well. Reggie would know Amen Rahh. He was caught up in scandal with Omar Bradley and Patricia Moore. They are former City Officials in Compton. Oh yea, Happy Kwanza.

Reggie looks good, he went through a lot w/ covid. His skin tone looks great, (he looked pale for awhile) he looks like gained weight, Reggie telling his stories back to his pace, good to see Reggie in healthy & great spirit! I made it to 3yrs without catching that 🦠, well I caught it, & that changed everything health wise, my prayers w/ everyone healing from that. Happy Holidays & Cheers 🥂 to a happy Healthy New year !
