I’m 5 minutes in and honestly I think this is one of your better videos, Reggie. You’ve got your brand of humor intact but this feels more like a walkthrough so I (a pea brained numbskull who hasn’t played any of this genre of game) can actually understand what’s going on. Ive never played or seen gameplay from TW3. I remember when I first got total war 2, and the very first legendary character I played was Tuarox. My rationale? Learn the new map by razing absolutely everything. This gave me flashbacks of all the siege battles. I had to fight most of those dreary siege battles. Tuarox is much stronger than siege battles would suggest. Other than that, good memories of wacking every other enemy with Tuarox and just sending them flying. There were many trials and tribulations.

Its impressive how long he has played this game but still somehow doesn't know/use groups, guard mode, withdraw cheese or any other useful in game tools/tricks to keep his units alive and win battles. A true total war gamer.

@@bananadirt7670 makes it so infantry units don't chase routing units or makes ranged units not chase units they have been ordered to shoot who have left their range of fire unless they have been explicitly ordered to do so. Its really useful for keeping ranged units from suiciding into infantry blobs as they chase routed units they were told to shoot or keeping infantry from unintentionally fleeing to the four corners of the map. It has its own problems and you do not want it on all units (specifically calvary/flankers), but the benefits are very useful to those who understand how to use such a feature.

I'm pretty sure in DND lore elves are the least favorite ones in the eyes of the gods correct me if I am wrong (it has been forever since I read it), but I remember hearing a story that explains that the reason elves live so long is because they were the least favorite compared to humans, so they were given shorter lives, which was meant to be a blessing but the humans were tricked into thinking it was a curse

Side note blob is better than flanking melee enemies, weirdly, almost always because the damage your units take is spread out more so less casualties and it's way easier to get group buffs on your units (spells, banners, abilities etc') It is super weak to splash magic and a little weak to ranged (but if the enemy is in melee with you, often the enemy won't shoot at you) ,when the AI randomly uses spells properly and cooldown explosion abilities anyways. Also seemingly it's not as good at running down units due to disruption but otherwise, embrace the blob. It'll save you more often than not
