I came across a short of this man talking about why he liked the mp7. I immediately had to know more about him, I thought this dude is a real hero and seems like one of them guys that people just flock to and respect him and enjoy being around him. I found this video and started scrolling through the comments. I have seen a comment section before that has a bunch of positive comments about a specific person, but I have never seen a comment section like the one on this video showing love and support for this guy. It’s all people that know him, that have trained or been trained by him. It’s family members and lifelong friends etc… every single person is saying the same thing. How good of a man he is how much people love him and how many people he has helped. Wow this man is an absolute legend.

My young son has been through this exact path twice. It's pretty intense, and washing out is hard to digest when it is something one wants very bad. It's tough too that there is no way back to Ranger Regiment once the SF gig fizzles. He's doing the best he learned in Ranger and SF for the regular infantry for now until he can take another run at it. You have to give him credit for refusing to accept failure. He is truly a better Soldier than I was. He doesn't know how or when to quit and accepts no failure as a substitute for success.

I was an E7, working for 10th SFG(A), Jumpmaster and Pathfinder.....I didn't grow up in Regiment and knew that it wouldn't be fun to be a non-tabbed E7 in Regiment. If I had the opportunity to go straight to RRD Assessment/Selection, I definitely would have given that a much harder look. Hmm sounds like RGT developed it’s own ISA to do HUMIT/Defense Clandestine Service “stuff”. Then again when assets thin, and you hitting targets on own, make sense to have organic capabilities that you control and own. Interesting shift from Scouting/LRS to higher level.
@joesgotya9930 Жыл бұрын
When the targeting and pursuit of Al Qaeda metabolized into a global effort outside of Iraq and Afghanistan, the AFO/OPB mission sets exploded in demand. RRC morphed into this trade and was also around the same time CAG, DevGru and 24sts were evolving their AFO conglomerates I.e OST/G Squadron, Black Squadron etc. JSOC and the CIA had to achieve mass situational awareness in the GWOT and that demand forced many Units into the AFO/clandestine space. Puts into perspective just how expansive the Al Qaeda and ISIS brand spread.

I think with the way the world is going and combat is evolving re: China/Russia/Africa, SMU’s like rrc, the new AFSR, etc are the way forward. Door kickers like rangers/seals/cag will always be needed but combat us going to become more nuanced. Plus with more technical fields it gives you better options in agencies and contractors after you leave.
