@amanda kenya So what? Do you have something against adoption it takes more than being biological to make one a parent. Henry never would've even seen Emma if Regina hadn't changed her mind about keeping Henry if you remember the last episode you would know that if Regina hadn't decided to keep Henry, John and Michael would've taken him and Pan would've killed him. Besides Emma wanted a closed adoption, so whether it's biological or not Henry is Regina's son, so in your face!

@amanda kenya Birth parent is not that important as adoptive one if he or she gives you up . Regina was a strict parent but as we know , before Emma came , there were times that Regina and Henry had good moments . They watched movies like Star Wars and also fed seagulls together . They did have memories and this was revealed in S6 .

And don't forget Emma asked for a close adoption. As in Emma is not allowed to have any contact with Henry under no circumstances. Emma was lucky Regina didn't press charges against her.

Press charges? How would Regina do such a thing? She adopted Henry illegally. She's present in the USA illegally. Her home town doesn't legally exist and can't even be found by most people. If she _did_ try it, it would draw all sorts of attention to the situation, which Storybrooke and Regina herself can not afford. If she managed to convince the authorities that the town and magic were real, then they're all REALLY in trouble. All of a sudden they've got the CIA, FBI, and every major intelligence and military agency of every major government in the world all over them trying to figure out magic. If her full personal story comes out, then aside from all those troubles she's looking at multiple murder charges, and possibly 'crimes against humanity'. Regina CANNOT use the mundane law against Emma, it would be self-destruction. She only has two options: use magic to take Henry by force, which will alienate Henry and might not work, or play by the laws that really apply in Storybrooke, which are more or less made by the Charmings. For all practical purposes, by the laws that really apply in Storybrooke, Emma _is_ the custodial parent after the events of S1, and up until mid-S4, when Henry decides to go back to her on his own and the Charmings permit it because of Dark Swan. Regina puts up with this because she had no choice...and because as time passes, she begins to realize that she really did do it to herself and she needs to clean up her act to win Henry back.

What makes me the most angry is that Emma doesn't assume there is anything wrong until he chooses Regina over her. Regina raised the boy for what I consider some of the most influential years of your life, Regina should be his only mother. I just always feel so bad for her. I remember watching a behind the scenes with the writers where they said the core relationship if the show was Emma and Henry and I wanted to throw the remote through the tv, because they went on to talk about how there relationship is so special and all this bull crap, Emma has actually grown on me over the years, but whenever there are Emma thinking she knows best for Henry scenes I want to ring her neck. You have maybe 3/4 years of parenting under your belt? What the hell gives you the right to decide over the woman who has been there for all but the first couple days of his life?

What gives her the right? Among other things, the fact that Regina is a monster, a murderer, a torturer, a poisoner, a tyrant, etc. She has a track record of horrific acts, including murdering her own father. She changes as time passes, but she lost Henry by her own actions. Emma was ready to leave Storybrooke and Henry with Regina more than once, and each time Regina rained on her own parade by evil behavior, culminating in a completely needless and utterly malicious attempt to trap Emma in a coma, even though Emma was leaving town anyway. Emma became Henry's custodial mother more or less by default as Regina self-destructed.

Well, Regina mentally abused him, and Henry wanted nothing more than to get away from her, so... she was a horrible mother. That's why Henry was with Emma most of the time.

@KenyaGirly Not at all kid, the reason they’re stating that is because Henry loved both Emma and Regina equally. Yes that doesn’t mean Regina is okay for doing her crimes far from it - however, Henry had become content with being with Regina again especially within Season 3 give or take, and later Season 2. They’re expressing the fact that just because Henry wanted to be near Regina that means that he was not ‘himself.’ Which is just not the case, yes of course he was not clearly himself, however just because he wanted to be near Regina doesn’t mean he was under a spell or some shit, and what they’re trying to state is that doesn’t mean Emma could possibly know that.

There is, they just didn't' enforce it in the show. In reality when there is a closed adoption or even an open adoption, the birth parent can't come and just take the child. Legally Henry belongs to Regina and Emma has to get permission from her to take him. I remember when Emma took Henry out of town and Regina found out from snow that he left and she told Regina that Emma doesn't need to inform her when actuality Emma does need to inform Regina. I'm like you, they kind of pissed me off with the way they handled it but I'm glad in season 4 Henry realize that Regina is his true mother. Adopted parents have all legal rights over that child, once you give them up for adoption, the person who gave birth to them gave up all rights to that child.

She didn’t assume Henry should stay with her. She knew something was off about Henry. It was pretty obvious that something was off about Henry. He would never cling anyone like that. And Emma was officially Henry’s custodial parent in Season 2, by Henry’s choice.

Uh...because they hate each other? At least throughout S1 and S2, and in S3 it's still tense. Later they no longer hate each other, but Regina is still a very private person and Emma is involved with Killian. SwanQueen isn't part of the show, it exists only in fan wishful thinking.

I'm sorry!but in here Regina really acted irrational!I mean I get Emma seemed a little jealous,but she was dumb enough to not tell Regina about Henry's inattentiveness towards his favorite hobbies(like book)but Regina was also so much blinded by the way Henry acted(exactly what she wished for)and all she saw was just Emma trying to take her son from her(like first season)and didn't think for a second that Emma trusts her with Henry's safety,she just doesn't feel Henry as the same person!beside in home,Regina also didn't noticed Henry's weird acting!

Ok, anybody that is trashing Emma needs to shut up. [*Spoilers*] First off, you should know by the episode's(season's) entirety that Emma was right about "Henry's" actions. Second, Emma is completely in character when trying justify her suspicions. And is a damn testament to how much, in only a few years, she grew really _know_ Henry. Especially when he's acting out of character. Regina may have raised him but she doesn't know him. Regina was too gullible here. The way she reacted, was only her feeling good about herself and rubbing it in Emma's face; for her ego. That "Henry chose ME and not YOU! Na na nan nah nah," mentality, is what pissed me off about this scene. It might have been under the guise of Regina wanting protect him, but we all should know by now, that that was never the case. I will admit that Regina has become better over time, but man did she have to come long way since season 3.

Exactly she should have listened to Emma when she said something was wrong. For someone who have reased and loved Henry for 10 years; she doesn't know him very well.
