Btw, even her parents, after settling down in Bronx, have never hated Russia and always tried to make Regina love and never forget the place she was born in and respect it and its culture - they gave her a lot of Russian classical literature books, Russian music and etc. And the main aspect - her father, Ilya Spektor, always forced Regina to speak Russian while she was at home so that she would never forget it. As a result: Regina speaks Russian fluently with almost no accent

At 1st I felt awkward, as a 25 y/o man who thinks Regina’s awesome, seeing her audience being predominantly teen girls. Then I realized how great it is that they AREN'T at a Bieber concert and teen girls might be sick of empty popstar boys & are moving on to poetic TALENTED artists like Regina. So ya, I’m a grown dude that likes Regina, but its because shes awesome. If somehow, someway the teen girls have also realized this, its not a bad thing. Yep, i've already got your point:) Btw, she said that she is going to try to make the album which will be entirely Russian but only as soon as she finds her own style in Russian ( a verry difficult thing. Even though she is fluent in Russian ( again, thanks to her parents and to Regina's will too), she hasn't been communicating in it on a routine level since her childhood ( her parents made her speak russian at home, but when they saw that she wasn't going to forget it, they became milder)
