"I'm the hero of this story/ don't need to be saved" are fascinating lines!!! i believe it ls a statement of empowerment that rejects the notion that we are born sinners and that we need to be "saved." It's her life, she is the hero of her story.

I find these lines most fascinating too. Because she's practically crying out for help, but wouldn't believe she really needs help. I mean, in real life there's no hero of story, even though everyone thinks they are hero of their own story and therefore would not need any help from anyone. The lines could be translated as "I'm the hero of the story, why I'm need of help?"

This one my favorite part of the movie with the excpectation vs. reality spit screen thing. I cried the first time I saw it... OMG I just got back from 500 Days of Summer! I really cried for Tom, he really thought that he would be getting back together with Summer. Not only did this not happen, but he literally saw her putting on an engagement ring from that other guy! I've been Tom more times in my life than I can count, so I truly understood the betrayal he felt. Hopefully, he'll find lasting love with Autumn!

The film was great. I especially liked the scene with this song, where Tom's expectations versus reality come into play. The dance sequence in the park was really cool too. If you've not seen it already, check out the music video the cast and crew made where Zooey Deschanel and Joseph Gordon-Levitt are dancing in a bank to Deschanel's own song - 'Why Do You Let Me Stay Here?'
