This song is amazing. It's unusual, which is what I usually like in the music I listen to. I like the way the piano uses unexpected notes...almost as if they belong not belonging there, but are there and make a magnificent song. I don't know if that made any sense, but I'm basically saying - Regina Spektor is probably the most amazing vocalist out there...either her or Amy Lee from Evanescence, but both are amazing in their own way. I'm not comparing, because both have different styles.

goldfishinaglass, that is so true! I was browsing through my ipod on the shuffle setting and found that literally every other song was hers! She is the most amazing singer of her time! This one of my favorite songs of hers. I like the beginning, "ah, ah ,ah,arah, ah ah" better in the studio when she has her back ground singers and it does not cut off so abruptly, but even so- she is THE amazing artist!

the beginning of the song is sad, its about life really- life and death and how even in the saddest moments you hear a song on the radio and it could bring about all kinds of memories or feelings...the second part of the song is about love and basically its not really sad but a song about hope, even though there is death and disease we carry on trying, we carry on laughing, we carry on loving.
