In due time, you'll probably react to Regine's 30th anniversary concert where she sings with the young divas including Morissette. Mori tries so hard not to bawl on stage. I remember this was the 2nd night of her concert and wasnt fully 100% well. She was rushed to the hospital after of dehydration and fatigue. She was groomed by her parents musically starting at an early age. But her Dad was the biggest influence to her musical training of the dynamics, techniques and vocal control aspect. Regine is the Queen of all divas in her region. Her tone is old school pop. Which explains the very ballad-like singing. She’s already 49. She gained some popularity in the mid 80’s when she won the biggest amateur singing contest on national tv at that time. Her career did not take off right away, until in 1989 after she represented the Philippines and won in an international singjng contest. From that point, there was no stopping her. She dominated the Philippine music industry and eventually the whole showbiz. She has the longest career peak of all time ranging from 1993 to 2008. That’s 15 long years at the top, unmatched and unchallenged. She’s an amazing singer and a great inspiration to everyone. She is the golden standard of singing in the Philippines.
