Just seen your video on team bortle .. glad i went thru the comments and seen your post. I was running pure buster blader couple months back on MD but wasn't meta enough to succeed consistently so switched to Yubel. Definitely want to try this version once tenpai hits master duel.

It’s definitely a fun and consistent yet competitive deck! The fact that they don’t know what face down I have and have to play weird as well as getting rid of the Tenpai cards asap since they’re going to kill the following turn. It’s a priceless feeling knowing you can go first or second without relying on using the right hand trap! You’ll definitely love it! It’s all about being patient and burning through their cards. Haha I have a few more variants to showcase in the future

I played buster blader x blue eyes during zoo format it it performed pretty well almost topping. With tempai the buster blader engine really seems stronger in this format. I had to drop my dark magician deck since DM spell and traps dont really do anything at all. So happy to pick up buster blader again!

@@Draeguy i bought a booster box of legacy of destruction and got all the cards i need except the 1 of 3 paidra ( i pulled two). the remaining cost of the deck was really the one paidra, 3 roku and i decided on only 2 karma cannons of the 3 as that is an 8 dollar card per copy other wise this deck is very cheap (given the fact i have ALL my buster blader stuff already). i side in one wizard buster of the destruction sword that acts as an abyss dweller so no pesky grave yard effects can activate it's actually super strong in the current format.

@greil7392 nice!! And 2 karma cannons is perfectly fine, in my updated version I have to modify to two anyways. The deck is super affordable compared to the other top decks, and will fit perfectly in the new meta. Just have to bait out the new dominus impulse in certain decks. @@Draeguy you could test out witches' strike as a counter even though it's not a counter trap making it less desirable than judgement it could out right win you games if they dont have an out to it. are you able to make a step by step combo video by any chance? the next time i play locals won't be until next week and im just curious if there are any kind of combos that other Tenpai players dont go into detail about in their videos.

@greil7392 witches strike is actually a great idea! Considering all the negating all the best decks are trying to do. I’ll do some testing to try it out. And sure, I can do a basic combo tutorial of Tenpai in current format. I’ll do a “Short” of it if it’s not too long. And I definitely have an updated version of the deck for the current format I plan on posting soon.

@@jamestheogan definitely a bit situational, since we don’t mind if we can’t beat them that turn. Samurai wouldn’t be bad, it’s just moonlight or kuibelt seems to be good enough. But, it’s all contingent on your locals or region.

i literally took out the one of the protector welps a little while back and other archtypes that could be played with tenpai, and i didnt actually look into the buster blader version, im glad i saw this cos damn, this could be the deck for ycs lille (another version i was looking in to was armed thunder but probably not lol) and currently been testing the striker version but i dunno

I’m hoping someone takes it to a YCS and go far with it too! I’ve played a few variants of the deck, striker version isn’t bad, but it just like the original wants to go second most of the time. And unfortunately, Tenpai mirror match are abundant (especially since trident is cheaper) so each player would force the other to go first. So this is a first or second deck since I never want to assume I can break there board or I will go second every time. But you can’t go wrong with any of the variants. I personally would like to control the duel by going first, and win possibly going second!

Forgot to answer this, you could karma cannon to reset place it on the field. But more times than not, no it will die on my end phase. But you have game more times than not, or you use buster dragon to go into hieratic seals or S:P little knight

Hi i was thing to play Buster blader lock into Dark magician toy box cause Toy soldier can add to the hand Buster Whelp of the Destruction Swordsman wihout normal summon , more the fact that turning monster into dragon type can be usefull to play "dark magician the dragon knight" with your monster or oppenent monster in case of super poly is used , an opinion ?

@@ryoto1635 I’ll have to see what you mean, because toy soldier said “level 4 light”, not “level 1 light”. Also, the grave has to be dragon, not the field. If you don’t play allot of dragons, you’ll brick most of the time.

@@TheDarkWhitest the graveyard effects, aren’t trap card “activation”, they are card effects. So you can chain any graveyard effect that is a trap card since the card itself isn’t “activating”

S:p little or moonlight rose commonly cane up, but a second buster dragon or Typhoon as well

Belle or crow timed are severe, but a pilot would force you to prematurely activate them or get punished with the Tenpai engine. Remember, it’s all about forcing your opponent to exhaust resources before going into the Buster combo. It was duels I used daruma cannon because buster cards weren’t needed.

@@andreslopez4718 weighbridge is a great alternative, or replace them with book of eclipse or another hand trap. Daruma is just a powerful trap that can be searched, but not needed if we can search the buster card.

If they stop the tenpai otk going second that’s fine, set your traps and pass turn to play on there turn. If the buster lock goes off they lose. You just need to get at least one dragon in the grave asap! I posted a few replays when they used shifter I believe. But yes, you just stay patient and get ready to play after shifter. They can’t otk under shifter effectively if you interact a little on their turn.

@@thatguy-nk5wu nope, the buster blader package was an auto loss for them and kuibelt getting rid of nightmare pain was more than enough. Played 3 yubel with 2 of them being top 8 finishes (2nd place and 7th place).

11:40 It's not skill drain... it negates dragon ACTIVATIONS. Them turning dragon after snake eye ash already activated won't stop the effect from going through so... not sure why you said "it won't go through" when it just did on screen. Just a small nitpick. Underworld Goddess would break the lock.

It doesn’t stop effects that already activated in the previous chain, which is why I purposely said I allowed Ash to go through so he committed the normal summon of a one of. The lock prevents effects from activating, not negating effects that have already activated. And I never said it was skill drain, it’s much better. And yes underworld and Kaijus and dark hole and raigeki and a ton of cards would break the lock. That’s why I purposely said to wait last second to get the most out of it.

My guess is Artifact Lancea but they would have to chain it to the trap effect in GY, coz it needs to banish the materials to fuse.. or Ghost Belle coz same thing, Destruction Sword Memories banishes the materials from GY to fusion summon so Belle would negate that. And both are not being played atm.
