I don't think the fans necesarily "hate" Devin, if anything they're indifferent which is probably worse. Apart from Kambosos, which is his only signature win, his fights are generally unremarkable, and by decision. Also, it probably doesn't help that his personality is identical to how he fights, i.e. he comes off as a bland, uncharismatic, and goofy. Haney has a small (but vocal) internet fan base, that's really enthusiastic about him but that's pretty much it. Haney's PPV numbers essentially confirm this is true.

You’d be surprised. I’m from Northern California (specifically the valley) and the bay folk are their own breed. Anything in the bay is tightly knit from the music, sports and culture. These two don't like each other so much that they'll each be their own problem as far as the mistakes they make. They each want to win in a way that will humiliate the other. The most humiliating way to defeat your opponent is to make them quit, and the sooner the better. Next best is to knock them out cold. I think if 1 hasn't been forced to quit by Rd four, they'll both start focusing on getting the knockout. Which could slow the fight down as they'll be looking for the right time and moment and saving energy for those critical final rounds in case it comes to that. Both want to avoid negative backlash about the other going the distance with them, or that the fight was so close, it should've been a draw, so expect some low blows, elbows and possible head butts, but they'll want to leave some warrior wounds as proof that they brought some action.
