Had the same problem on the SHS-6020. Steps: 1. Open door. 2. Press registration button once. Don't hold. 3. Enter new pass code. (5 to 12 digits) 4. Press * 5. Done Register RFID cards: 1. Open door. 2. Press registration button once. Don't hold. 3. Hold key card up to sensor. 4. Audible signal it's registered. 5. Hold next key card up to sensor. 6. Audible signal it's registered. 7. Repeat 5 and 6 for all cards. 8. Press * 5. Done

hold register button, for 3 or 5 sec, enter master password from the back side of the cover + *. Press register button again and enter new password (WITHOUT 1234 or 12345, just new password)

Okay, so lots of suggestions below and no one is really nailing the answer for those of us who still cannot access the menu. If you are one of those that cannot access the menu, it is very likely that your model of Samsung door lock is actually different to the SHS-H705. You may have a very slightly different model (that appears exactly the same externally) such as the the SHS-H700 or perhaps the earlier SHS-5230. Both of these models look identical to the SHS-H705, but they use a different method of setting the passwords, fingers prints etc. Download the manual for the SHS-5230 (I couldn't easily find the manual for the SHS-H700, but the function and setup is the same) here: www.intermiir.com/manual/shs-5230.pdf and then follow the steps. Don't expect a menu as the SHS-H700 does not have one. I was able to setup multiple fingerprints etc with this older instruction manual. Hope this helps! CB

Everyone, I sovled the same problem that happened to me. Please pay attention of the step: Pess Register butten - key in figerprint 3 times - Press Register butten again! Done! If key in own password. set up step: Press Register butten-4 digit own password-press* ! Done!

Hello, there are a manual for this model with works with other software... Try press the registration button (with door open) / insert the new passcode (5~12 digits) and press * button (do not need to insert the old passcode). Good lucky.

Try to use 12345 instead. I had the same problem until I tried 12345. Good luck!

Same problem! The point is that the factory password doesnt work to try to register new password! Any body solved this f... problem?

by the way, it's a very stupid instruction set...very dangerous if you forget to hold your physical key with you...what happens if you changed your password, go outside, and then lock the door but unable to open the door with the new password for whatever reason? say you forgot what your new password was? with this type of lock if you happen to forget your password and you do not have your physical key, then you are toasted...your physical electronic key is useless if you just changed your password because you would have to re-register the electronic key again with the new password...

I have the same problem, BUT I changed de number. Try 1234 "house buton" (located at right of number zero), 4321 Star And the new code is 4321 I hope it helps ! If someone gets a way to access the Main Menu, please let me know. TKS

Anyway, i have settled the problem, i have managed to change my forgotten passwod. 1. Press the reg button around 5 seconds guys, dont stop until u have counted at least 5 second and more 2. Put your password as stated at the back of the cover with * 3. Then you can put your new password with *

First u must know what is the master password. To change it, press the reg button and then press in master password followed by the ‘house logo button’ just located beside the 0 button. Then key in your desired password and press the * key. That is it. Your desired password password will be your master password...
