Nonone better than you Sarah, you truly have a gift, I’ve been a huge fan and follower for years, since I was living in PR and barely knew any English, I passed the NCLEX, first try with 75 questions in less than 2 hrs, and I have to thank you because your channel was one of my main go to, when I was struggling with a topic. I agree!! I'm not in nursing school yet, but I am taking my last prerequisite before I sign up for the HESI A2 exam and I have to say You are an teacher because I watched so many blood flow of the heart KZbin videos and I didn't understand the flow fully until I watched your video so thank you so much for all your help, I have watched plenty of your videos since then cause the A&P of the body will be on my exam. I'll definitely watch you throughout my nursing program journey and beyond! 😊

I’ve never commented on videos before, but I just HAD to leave you a comment! I just recently got a job as a telemetry monitor tech, and had to take my Dysrhythmia Test. I had to take a 2 day Dysrhythmia class, and was SO lost & confused, but after watching all of your videos on heart rhythms, I passed my test with 100% (and as a telemetry tech I’m required to pass with a 90% and all the nurses in the hospital are only required to make a 84%)! Thank you SO much for all your videos, they’re so easy to understand!

ACLS recertification is due soon & the AHA pretests became stricter. EKG interpretation & emergency tx was super intense, so I dropped in to review & found you! I love the way you teach. You walk us through mazes with warmth, kindness & make it logical! Your instructional style is endearing & you shine!! As a former CNA instructor, it's not what you memorize to pass a test. Life or death matters must be internalized. You demonstrate true knowledge & share your struggles, which are now strengths. It takes a special nurse to teach with such passion & you're it! After watching one of your lessons, I immediately shared your channel with my ACLS/PALS instructor!! "The definition of genius is taking the complex and making it simple." This is also a metaphor i was taught to remember this! My tutor (for my Cohort) said with first degree heart block= the metaphor is the p wave is the wife and the QRS is the husband....with 1st, he just says late at the office every night (even p waves but hes still late meaning long PR interval) with the mobits one he keeps staying later and later and later until he just doesnt show at all with mobits II type 2 he consistently is late and doesnt show at all days in a row with a third degree , the couple just no longer talk or communicate, they are on different paths, they are doing there own thing....the pacemaker is the therapist in this case! THEY HAVE TO HAVE ONE TO MAKE THE MARRIAGE LAST

I have watched a lot of videos but yours is the best explanation, especially when you showed the difference between the P waves and T-waves because I get them confused and a lot of instructors don't bother to show the difference. Because when I think I am seeing a P wave, they say it's a T wave. I know the T waves come after QRS complex but I have seen some P and T waves fused together.

Very Interesting!! First, I am NOT in the medical field. This type of information is VERY intrigueing to me. My story: Last week, without any warning this 57 year old man suddenly went into heartblock and within a 6 hour period went into Heart Block. No abnormalities, no heart attack, etc. - My AV node just walked off the job... There's some confusion (to me) whether I went into 2nd degree (I'm guessing type 2) or CHB. My wife and I are quite familiar with CHB for my son was diagnosed with heart block (Congenital CHB) at 26 weeks of gestation, and with much intervention and noted drop in ventricular rate with PT skips ) he was born and had his first pacer implanted when he was 2 days old (and 27 years later he is doing fine with little limitations. So, just by observing the "bedside" heart monitor while I was dizzy and losing consciousness, my wife asked my attending doc (and soon to be my regular rhythm specialist) if I had heart block ("You know about heart block?" "Yes, so when is he getting a pacemaker implant?" ) . I would like to know whether I have type 2 or 3 for my wife thought there were times where my ventricular rates actually matched (in sync) to the atrial rate (or perhaps a type 2 was "progressing" into Complete Heart Block). That is a question to my Rhythm specialist when I go to see him for my first appt. Well, for this layman, you gave me an EXCELLENT description and Difference of the first, second (type 1 and 2) , and 3rd Degree Heart block, So much so that I did well on your little quiz and recognized the differences (except for the measurement of the P-wave. No, I do not believe I will change my career late in life, but it is nice to know that I have a good (but not perfect) grasp of the degrees of heart block so I can possibly ask a more informned question to what degree I have (most likely CHB) but I'm very interested to know on a totally pragmatic level. No worries or anxiety on my part, I'm feeling great, including the day of the implant when I was no longer dealing with dizziness and loss of consciousness during syncope. You cardiologists (current and upcoming) and Cardiology RNs are incredible, and your area of expertise is so intrigueing! Great video. Thanks!!

I was looking for something that would stick in my head in understanding AV blocks and this video was just plain awesome! You did a great job. I am currently being trained as a ICU RN and was hoping to have a soft transition, this channel is great resource. I will continue watching you EKG collection. I will also recommend my colleagues to this video. peace!

This was a really good overview of blocks.. Im loving your channel. I just recerted my ACLS last month and myself and a coworker were discussing blocks. Thanks for making it so easy to remember the simple rules to decipher what type of block it is.
