Stunningly played & presented,, I dread to think how much work you put into this piece, let alone the rest of these studies! Genuflections to you David 🙏 you're scaring the daylights out of anyone who thinks we can play a tune on the guitar. Much respect to you 🙏

Absolutely beautifully played. Really close control of the right hand (no nail noise) and your phrasing absolutely makes sense of that constant stream of semi-quavers! Bravo!

Wonderful, controlled playing, David. In that documentary on Manuel Barrueco he talks about there being a certain beauty to a well-refined, controlled technique -- your playing is a perfect example of that sort of "beautiful" technique to me. Well done!

Rock n' roll! Great playing. Bravo! This is one of my favourite Regondi etudes. I'd like to see n°2 played with this much confidence. Cheers! edit: I just noticed in your videos that you interpreted n°2 as well! Excellent! edit 2: Now I'm looking forward to the n°10!

Very nice, good!, It doesn't seem very simple to me .... how do you judge it as a difficulty? hello Lele
@davidjaggs4 жыл бұрын
It's quite tricky to play cleanly.. especially the higher passages. Any piece is difficult to play perfectly. And this is far from perfect!

Hi David, thanks for posting this. Would you ay that this is too hard for a grade 5 player and how long would you expect a g5 to take to learn and play this.
@davidjaggs4 жыл бұрын
I'd say it is above that level. A grade 5 player could find the notes ok, but wouldn't it be frustrating to not play it cleanly? If I were a player of this level I'd have 3 projects on the go. An easier piece to really perfect and enjoy, a grade 6 level piece to reasonably push and improve my ability, and I'd look at little sections of a piece like this for curiosity and to find weaknesses in my technique.
