Fun fact about the games! Each weapon is programmed with a 'fear factor', a weapons fear factor will change enemy behavior! If you equip a Energy Sword for example, grunts will run away and elites will go into a rage, taking their own swords out.

Following enemies is generally a good rule if you are stuck on where to go...but the devs themselves said that they designed the original games so that the player would be subtly guided by light...so look for flashing or lit areas/paths. Let the light be your guide....the religious references never end with these games...

Christ, it’s hard to believe Halo fell off as hard as it did after this PERFECT trilogy. And the remastered collection with co-op and friends is such a blast of nostalgia. Love these halo vids! 2 General rules though, kill all the enemies in an area for the next thing to load/prompt you (sometimes you can progress without killing enemies but sometimes you can’t), always be looking for ammo or a better gun when able. Running thru the campaign with a plasma pistol is wild but considering you haven’t played until now, you should also just have fun with it too. Halo 1 and 2 particularly didn’t have a ton of waypoint markers in the campaign so part of the overall intended experience was to explore. Cheers!

If you can pick up the same weapon, it has more ammo than the one you have. This is more so for covenant weapons. Also, the sword has two melees, the lunge and the reg melee. Love seeing people enjoy halo for the first time btw :3

The plasma pistols are very effective against elites (the big black aliens) The grunts(mini aliens) have those guns. Hold the left pad of your mouse to charge it against them to disable their shields, then hit them off with a headshot. You're welcome.
