I was watching this video really often. It gave me motivation. Right now I watched it again and listened more carefully and I have realized what Jordan Peterson said. I was browsing in that kind of mindeless way through my whole life. I am 20 and yes, I am young, but even then I have lost a lot of time that I won`t ever get back. I`ve been playing games, seraching tik tok all day or watching youtube. I finished high school and for this 5 years I have never gone on some trip with my friends. I don`t even have friends. I don`t know my purpouse. Everyday I waste time a little bit, and I am depressed, because of it. I have just realized that I am doing it, because I can not accept the past times that I have wasted. It`s a circle that never ends. It`s really painful when You realize that You lost something that won`t ever get back. It`s hard to get back on rails.

(To deal with outside pressures) My little secret to changing my mental state was reading Plato and Aristotle. Obviously, this won't work for everybody, but hearing compelling arguments about virtue and what constitutes a life of flourishment is a much-needed resource. And quite honestly, the books helped me rid all fear and anxiety by reframing death in my mind. And if death isn't all that scary of a concept, what the hell will bother you? (Internal pressures, though?) And if you're anything like me, the root cause of all emotional discomfort derives from the understanding that you ~can~ achieve so much. At the end of the day, all the faculties of your mind and body are there to aid you in achieving your goals. If something feels wrong, something IS wrong. There are no feints when it comes to the subconscious. (Personally, again) This is super dumb and cheesy, but I used to get pretty damn upset when I would watch TikToks every damn day because my fyp was full of depressing shit. (Which was my fault ofc). The solution was to use the app less lol. I just started going out, talking to women, hanging out with people, chasing dumb adventures. Cheesy again, but I also prayed to God for more dumb adventures. ^^ Consider it! Life isn't life if you have no stories to tell. Go get some!
@PiotrKamelek4 ай бұрын
@@Noeitall You`re speaking truth Brother. Yes I was wondering to get some stupid adventures, because they build our lives. Those are one of the best memories. Sometimes I just forget that we only live once and have one chance. What I am usually afraid of is taking bad decisions. Am I living the life that I should be? This is a question that hits me a lot. I have bad posture and it really pisses me off. I always was really skinny. When I was 14 I weighted 40 fucking kilograms with 168cm. Right now I am 19 (almost 20) and I weight 72kg with 185cm. I was working hard for 2 years and I still look like shit and I have a posture defect(probably a small scoliosis and I do every exercise a little crooked). I was working hard to still be an average looking skinny man. Gym was the one thing that I have sacrificed for and it almost didn`t pay me anything. My physical condition is closely related to my mental one that`s why I feel like nobody. What`s the purpouse of my life is the question that I will propably suffer a lot with. Anyways, Thank You for the extensive answer. And that`s true, I was thinking about it one day. How would I describe my life to anybody else, I realized that I don`t have big stories to tell.

@@PiotrKamelek Seriously consider reading Nicomachean Ethics if you want to answer the question of 'purpose'. I promise you it is worth the headache of the shitty translation and (naturally) gross reading. Idk it just helps to realize that the best times of your life are the times when you're not thinking about the best times. It's so backward to ponder these things because happiness comes from action. Particularly, action from your ?soul? (You know what I mean) Actions that are expressions of yourself, those that require no thought. Little argument for that: If happiness comes from outside of action, then one should be able to simply summon it alone. You can't summon happiness from a static state! So, happiness must come from action! When you're crying laughing with your boys, when you let some baddie smack your cheeks bc you're solid asl, when you start talking to the fentanyl head on the street corner on a dare bro.. you aren't thinking. Lil adventures. Be safe tho lmao Btw: That was all just a long-winded way of saying be authentic. 🤨🫠

185 pounds, Navy Seal, Ranger school, motivational speaker. But what if that’s not what God intended David Goggins to be? What you think is best for yourself, might not be what God wants for you. You will never know unless you seek the Lord. God always has something better.
@Noeitall11 ай бұрын
True, but God always wants to see the beauty of his creation. And no doubt David now is in a much better place (physically, mentally, and spreading his message) than he was when he was 300 pounds spraying for cockroaches.
@braddanrir117111 ай бұрын
I see David's journey somewhat like Jacob's in the old Testament. There's a passage where Jacob wrestles all night before encountering an angel of God. They literally engage in a Chechen-style struggle. The symbolism here is that the battle is first against oneself. It doesn't happen in noise, in the midst of a crowd, but in a dark and empty room, a space that urges us to search deep within ourselves.

Fear of God is the beginning of wisdom. From dust thou art, to dust thou shalt return. Ask and you shall receive, knock and the door shall be opened unto you. But you still must walk through the door yourself. You haven't wasted time, that is an excuse you tell yourself so that you don't have to feel good inside. Search for the energy inside you, it was always there, and will always be there, all you have to do is remember to look for it in your darkest hour. There is nothing new under the sun. And when you are angry and spiteful, remember quickly to replace those feelings with fear!
