Wait, did I really just see a keyboard? That's too cool bro! I'm a drummer but I think I'll be leaving my drums at home and just beat on bear canisters and camp pots.. 😂 you ROCK!

Haha yes sir! I saw so many people out there with ukes and such that I got jealous and got a keyboard. 3lbs and worth every ounce. Maybe bring some drumsticks with you!

I was telling my husband that if I were hiking this trail, and I was 93 miles from finishing, my head and my heart would be filled with so many thoughts and feelings. And then you had the text that said exactly how I would be feeling. So bittersweet......I might cry when you reach the last summit. What a grueling, stunning, life affirming journey. You should be so proud of yourself. 😊

May I be so bold as to say that it seems like you are searching for a simple life that is connected to the tranquility of nature. Seek that in your future endeavors whatever they may be and make that your journey.
@justkeepmoving4082 жыл бұрын
You may be so bold, and you may be completely right! I realized on the trail that my greatest source of elation and peace was simply being outside, so I am absolutely trying to use that knowledge as the anchor point for building the rest of my life. I've got a plan to incorporate that into the near future so we'll see how it goes!

I don't want it to be over for you either! Not only was this such an achievement for you, but I'm sure it fed your soul. Whether it was getting to be alone with nature in contemplation, or sharing moments connecting with new friends. I can't wait to see what you do next! (after some rest, of course)

I pray you will one day understand the true gift that you have shared with us that will never make this physical journey but lived through your spirit. I have a bottle of champagne that I’ve saved for your special occasion and will pop the cork when you reach the end. Just keep moving young man, your future is so bright.

I'm so jealous that you're hiking this year! You are going to have such an adventure. I did use a bear bag, the Ursack Major XL. Never had any issues with critters getting at it, so it never got tested. To be honest I don't think bears trying to get at your food is very common on the trail, and the majority of people out there don't have bear-proof food bags, in the interest of saving weight.
@jamesrearick26722 жыл бұрын
I have watched m oi st of your videos and you have donea great job with them. You are a beast in hiking the distances you log. I am 66 and allways wanted to try this but at my age I don't think it is possible now. The only advice for you is that hey you are only 20 something you can do this again and many other trails and maybe with your wife and or children that is something to surely look forward too! I wondered I didn't see any snakes or bears etc. Did u encounter any?
