I did not think that you chose the white doll deliberately. I just made the observation that, unlike years ago, people are more conscious about what color doll they buy for their child. I would buy a plush animal ( they are really cute) rather than a white doll for a brown or black child. The thinking behind this is that people saw that White parents would only buy a White doll for their child but there are enlightened White people who buy black dolls for their children but they are in the minority. Actually, years ago when I was a child, there were no Black dolls available to buy, only White dolls. Years later, when black dolls became available to buy, some Brown and Black people felt that White dolls were more attractive than Black dolls.
