Regrowing Store-bought Green Onions in Water Time Lapse

10-days time-lapse of how green onion (or scallion) can be re-grown in a small water container indoor for culinary uses. So the next time you bought one, chop off the green part to use at desire while leaving the white halves to regrow and harvest. You can repeat this cycle 2-3 times, just replace the water as needed.

note that after several harvests the flavor of ur onions will start to water down ! after a week of being in water, or even right after you cut the roots, you can plant them in regular potting soil and they’ll grow with bright flavor each time

I just put them right in dirt with some rooting hormone. Works well. Probably don't need rooting hormone, but it can make the process quicker preventing rot. What kind of fertilizer do you use to replenish soil after harvest?

When the get big enough you can plant them and they will keep growing. A great companion plant.
