Great video and well explained. I'm new to metal detecting and It kept going off when hitting grass, I guess I had the sensitivity to high.

8 to 10 inches with the stock coil. Depends on soil conditions and target size. You can buy larger coils that will allow it to search deeper.

400i is meant for international soil types outside of United States.
