👍 I have a 2010 regular cab and I loved it my coworkers say I have the slowest truck on earth but also the most reliable mine is stick 4x4 and in five years all I have done is a battery and a set of 265/75/16 coopers discovery 4s the truck is beyond reliable just hit 88k and had all fluids replaced and flushed such as power steering, transmission, coolant, transfer case, brake fluid and differentials and still on original brakes.

Had a 2008 Tacoma, Reg cab, 4cyl. Not a lot of power, small and noisy cab. Reliable, flickable, reliable, goes like a tank in the snow, reliable. Put a Ranchhand brush guard on and ham radio. It was great! Have a Tundra. Would buy another Tacoma for a beater!

2014 regular cab. 4x4 manual. bought it with 35k (lease turn in) had to drive from Cleveland to just north of NYC to get it. when I bought it, there were only 4 regular cab 4x4 sticks for sale on autotrader....in the U.S. I'm keeping Lil Blackie for ever!!!

you might already do this but to not roll back you could bring the clutch a decent way into the bite point before easing off the foot brake, that should hold the truck in place

Is the camper specifically for a regular cab? The front of the camper seems to be very close to the back of the cab. I looks good just wondering if it was model specific or found and so happened to fit.

Its not for a regular cab, it is tight at the top, I got a good deal second hand and it works fine. It has worn a little paint off at the top but you can only see it when the top is off. Not a big deal to me.

How’s the ride on the highest setting on the bilsteins? I’m on 265s too but I like the stuffed wheel well look so I’m thinking of either the 0.85” front with a half inch rear block or a 1.75” front 1” rear

The ride is fine in the front, I put an add a leaf in the rear which is a bit harsh over speed bumps and rough terrain. I’m considering deaver leaf springs in the future. Not sure if a block will have the same issue.

I’d like to know how you actually mounted things to the back of the cab? Drill into the panel or just find bolts and brackets that fit? Thanks

The only thing I drilled for was the fire extinguisher bracket. I used a few of those large twist ties to secure some of the recovery gear. I also removed some of the plastic trim below the rear window, this exposed seatbelt brackets that hung things on. Hope that helps, it’s nothing fancy.

My topper is from a crew cab, it fits perfectly apart from almost touching the cab towards the top. The single cab specific toppers have a more even gap between the topper and the cab. It wasn’t a deal breaker for me since I found it second hand for about half price.
