@@randomraidor I bought "Acasis 40Gbps M.2 Nvme SSD Enclosure Compatible with Thunderbolt 3/4, USB 4.0/3.2/3.1/3.0/2.0, TBU401" which looks better than Orico in my opinion. In mid-July, when the daytime temperature was about 32 degrees, the temperature of Enclosure rose to 52 to 57 degrees(There is no air conditioning in my room), but it always operated normally. This case effectively disperses heat.

@@young-hoongihl3301 Thanks for your explanation! How long have you used it? Are any big cons or drawbacks? I bought a mac mini m2 last week 16GB + 256GB so planning to go with an external SSD, I have 2 options (Sandisk 2TB:: 2000mbs R/W or the ACASIS SSD Enclosure method) Which one do you think is the best? Even I don't have AC in my room, just a table fan. In my country, that enclosure is not available I have to pay 3x for the same price to import.

@@randomraidor I've been using it on my M1 Mac mini for a year now. And I use my Mac for more than 8 hours a day. I installed a WD_BLACK SN750 M.2 2280 NVMe 1TB SSD in this Enclosure, and both read/write speeds are over 2,500MB/s(Blackmagic Disk Speed Test). SK hynix Gold P31 M.2 NVMe is also a good option. I have no complaints with this Enclosure. It is fast and dissipates heat effectively. I was worried about the heat, so I bought two of these "SABRENT M.2 2280 SSD Rocket External Heatsink in Silver (SB-HTSS)", but I didn't need them. p.s. I bought this Enclosure from AliExpress.

Wonder if this enclosure will accept a 4tb nvme as Im using this one with a samsung 980 pro 2tb. It says support up to 2tb but it may possibly support 4tb otherwise I need a new enclosure .

Lo que pasa es que el test, lo hizo en Mac , me imagino que por el límite que este mismo le permite es hasta la velocidad que se vio en el video.

Does this support PCIE 4.0 ? If not 40Gb link seems quite stupid to me :/

Well the two competing interfaces are USB 3.2 Gen 2 (at 10GBit/s), and Thunderbolt 3 (at 40GBit/s). You're right that PCIe 3.1 x4 transfers less than 40GBit/s, but it does transfer more than 10GBit/s. If you think that it'd be stupid to run PCIe 3.1 x4 over Thunderbolt 3, you would probably agree, that running PCIe 3.1 x4 over USB 3.2 Gen 2 is even more stupid, right? :)

Thunderbolt 4 does not support 40 gbit/s for data, that is for DispayPort 1.4 or even 80 gbit/s in 2.0. The point is for data only 4 lanes of PCIe 3.0 are available which is just 32 gbit/s, but that may be additionally capped by inserting NVMe.

That overkill just use NVME gen 3 for that. Bottleneck clearly for nvme gen 4 storage.

Карман поддерживает USB 4.0 и имеет обратную совместимость, его можно подключать по USB 3.0 и т.д. Карманы с чистым Thunderbolt 3 через переходник не подключаются.

При подключении через переходник будет бить ошибку «подключите устройство в Thunderbolt совместимый порт»
