If redundant laws are cholesterol, bribes are the tumour engulfing it. To buy industrial land to set up a factory in Bangalore - bribes to Karnataka Industrial Development Board 30 to 40 lacs / acre. Buying a non kiadb land converting for industrial purpose 30 to 40 lacs/ acre Pollution Licence for investment below 5 crores - 2 lacs, It will increase by 2 lacs every 5 crore additional investment. Similarly for Factory licence. Reform/ Tax related Because of No labour law reform, labour contractors keep squeezing the labourers.. 20 percent capital gains tax for a manufacturing company if they want to sell their existing plant to clear some debits & reinvest in an upgraded machineries relocate to a cheaper location Pathetic situation when PM will intervene God knows. Have written to PMO and Finance Ministry but so far no action taken. Debating for 8 years will not help.

We need many more such discussions. The viewership nos of these videos should be the barometer by which the govt must be compelled to look onto the recomwndations made in these discussions. One suggestion Mr. SIDHARTH, pl start a specialist series in which you do a deep dive analysis of the latest workings of each major institution or statute ex. IBC code working, Rera implementation, Arbitration Act efficacy, SEBI , CCI, and all such regulators and their routine failures. Why is it that the govt retains the right to staff them with generalist bureaucrats who have no clue on the subject ? FMC, SEBI, TRAI, IBC, CCI etc need to be headed and staffed by top notch specialists . Please get these subjects discussed in crisp details. We look forward to it. Once you as a mainstream media outlet, pierce these holy cows , then there will be pressure to act.
