Kind of mad I couldn't figure out the positions of my hand by myself but glad I found this to teach me instead of living with the pain. Thank you

I'm wondering the same thing. Been doing exercises. But dang it's so frustrating just the littlest tasks hurt.
I had tennis elbow for a number of months and tried every exercise and stretch I could find but it wasn't getting any better. I finally tried Aleve (naproxen) and it give me almost instant results. (other meds like ibuprofen didn't help me). Not a 100% healed yet but it's about 90% better now.
@RehabScience10 ай бұрын
Those medications can definitely help in many cases. However, we really want to make sure to continue strengthening the wrist extensor muscles and their tendons as we have seen in the research that this condition will typically return if you don't strengthen those tissues. Medication will help desensitize the area and reduce pain, but they won't stop the issue from coming back when you start stressing it again.

The pain i feel is located on the inside of my forearm but these exercises numbed the pain instantly. Do you have a video of tendinitis pain that's located inside the forearm? I have another question, i hope you find the time to answer me. I never studied about the human body but I've been an athlete for four years believing that power and mind resilience is the answer to a great body... This philosophy crumpled once i was injured... I spent the last two months jumping from a hospital to the other, watching and reading online and none were able to give the right answer... I'm passionate about the humam body and i would like to learn, can your book cover years of your expertise? I mean i want to learn and work in this area without a degree... is it possible or reading one book is never enough to be qualified to heal an injured human who's looking for someone to trust?

The problem recently returned on the left side, but the right has been pain-free since about 2 months after the injections. The injections were EXTREMELY painful. Cost was about $1200, not covered by insurance.

2:53 According to a couple other youtubers, if you search "how to strengthen tendons", they seem to agree the best way to isolate the tendons is to do negative reps or isometric reps with high weight (since your tendons are stronger than muscles) while the muscle is in a contracted position. So for this part in the video, if your tendon isnt already damaged or in pain, then do some research into that. If someone has already come across this information and found it to be false, you're most likely to have done more extensive research than I and I would like to hear what you have to say and sources to back it up if you like.

Very good video with helpful advice and instructions. I have one suggestion for future visuals - would you consider doing the video facing a mirror please? For anyone neurodivergent, trying to reverse your movements because you are facing us is really difficult. In the same way that dance teachers teach with their _back_ to the class so dancers don't have to reverse all the movements in their head while they're learning the steps. Hope you might consider this option. Thank you very much! 🤗

The first exercise that has helped with the tennis elbow forearm area pain. This is the first thing that has helped relieve the pain since this started 1 year ago. Imean, the first thin. I'm talking bracing, injections, EMG's twice! Showing the radial nerve to be normal, regardless of the herniated discs in C5-C7, even that part showed no nerves pinching. When I do the nerve flossing, although it helps the forearm pain, it's really hurting my wrist & thumb area. It's as if I can feel the radial nerve stretching in my wrist & thumb, but in a not pleasant painful way. I don't even know if that's the nerve or possible tendon. Any thoughts on that or advice to continue this exercise or to stop it??

Thanks for the video. I has a question. Are we strength training our tendons or for endurance? I heard from an official strongman that tendons strengthen when we train them to failure. So, I was thinking of doing this 2x till failure ( 30+ reps each time). Would this cause more damage or should I focus only on strength training (like you said 3x (10-15 reps) ? I was diagnosed with this around 2 months ago and now with medication its gone. I"m 21.
@RehabScience5 ай бұрын
Most of the tendon research promotes heavy, slow contractions when treating tendon pain. With this in mind, lower repetition ranges are probably best. You could experiment with both (high repetition and low repetition) and see what works best for you, but I would say that somewhere around 10-15 reps is probably ideal.
