Pretty good. The bit about "straight arms" is a little antiquated. The current training science shows that you should still engage the back and it's not about transferring the weight to the skeleton but from the small muscles of the arms to the larger muscles in the back. Slight bend in the elbow and engagement of the shoulder and scapula is important to prevent injury. But overall this is great information for beginners. Thanks for making it!

Do not just straight arm everything that is how people get injured. Yes use your skeletal system for support but you must activate muscle as well to make sure you don't strain your skeletal system.

Straight arms when resting or beeing static on a hold. Reach the next hold with pretty straight arms is ok. Keeping engagement in the back and core at almost any time should be common knowledge. Of course the worst example would be falling or dropping down in an extended arm. Your shoulder will scream. Those people will supper impingement syndrom sooner or later. Some have completely worn out shoulder joints - you never want that for you or others.

Gracie I went for the first time 2 years ago during my junior year of college. I loved it, but never made it back. Fast forward to today, I just started regularly going to a climbing gym at a nearby college. I’m 23 :)

@@gracie9135 why would it be? You are NEVER too old to start climbing (let alone do other things). The question could be: Is 16 too old to start climbing, if I want to get world class? Well, it could be. But please don't start climbing just to become world champion. Start or do it, because it makes you happy :)
