12:44 There is a setting in the game called “extended burn indicator” that tells you exactly when to burn the engines to get the most precise burn. Not turned on by default for some reason and not as precise as guidance mods like mechjeb but very useful for transfer burns and long burns in stock ksp. And, if you’re fine with not playing full stock, there is a mod called “bettertimewarp” that allows you to time warp at whatever speed you want. Physics warp to 16x speed for low thrust burns with ion engines or nuclear engines can cut down the time needed for burns by a lot.

When making aircraft, it’s important to ensure your main source of lift is a fixed wing. The reason most of your laythe probes were nigh impossible to control was that your primary lifting surfaces were being used for control. I’d consider disabling the pitch, yaw, and roll for the winglets you used as main wings for those and see if they function better.
