Is the True Peak function not good in FabFilter Pro-L2 period? or if we used two instances of it, one for pushing gain then a final one with just True Peak limiting, then it would sound as good as TDR’s True Peak function?

You don't even need two instances. You can perfectly do both with one pro l2

So is he limiting in 2 stages? First a light limit just to catch large peaks, but still leave a lot of dynamics. Then, he does his compression and stuff. Then the 2nd limiter, which is more aggressive that pushes the volume?

Spotify recommends -1 dB True Peak as well, right? I am confused about the limiting

To be honest I find it difficult to fully imagine clipping - a sort of limiting - followed by expansion - followed by more clipping ! Try it I guess but it seems and odd 'pull push' kind of scheme ! Thanx anyhow.

Lucca is known for doing a great job mastering loud while still retaining feeling of dynamics, what this means is probably most of his clients come to him with loud references in this case, he hits -5 lufs, which might have been a request I have seen videos of pure big room where he gets to -3 For me personally, for what I like to hear and see labels that I wanna see my tracks released on (dance floor oriented), -7 is a good number, loud enough to hit hard live on CDJs and still not over limited.
@gomesdiogo4 жыл бұрын
The thing here is, we are seeing a workflow that allows you to get to -5 or even more, if you learn this, you can get to -7, -8 in a very nice way.
@alexptvz10764 жыл бұрын
@@gomesdiogo yeah, I got it, there was a request but anyway more loudness means less dynamics and more unpleasant distortion. Why the people who requesting don't hear that
@gomesdiogo4 жыл бұрын
@@alexptvz1076 it comes down to the aesthetic and comercial standards of the genre, I believe You cannot compete in edm big room world if your tracks aren't as loud as the comercial standard, which is loud as f, for example
