How he keeps the strings muted while he goes all crazy like that is beyond me
@austin75304 жыл бұрын
Yeah that’s a subtle thing that most people don’t understand how hard it is. Insane. I’ve been playing for almost 10 years and haven’t figured that one out
@Homanjer3 жыл бұрын
@@austin7530 start playing bass. youll learn how to mute all the strings passively. With a bass its so much more noticable when a string rings out so you develop techniques to mute all the strings youre not playing the entire time. and since he plays alot fingerstyle aswell youll learn that too on bass. Really helps

TALENTED group! This dude solo lead me here, he's amazing! Side note, IS that a Social D t-shirt the drummer is rocking? I cannot quite tell BUT that looks like the Social D skeleton on there....
@gmfw97773 жыл бұрын
I agree on all points! skeleton does look familiar, I've only seen the social d strutting with the top hat. Drummer gets it on without much shit to hit. pretty badass
@brucenadeau59203 жыл бұрын
@@gmfw9777 I Googled Social D images/logos and came up with none showing that image though I SWEAR it HAS to be a Social D shirt! lol

I saw this guy in 2016 in San Francisco he was unbelievable I first heard his Seattle play track in 2012 and was blown away it is so sad to see him now with 3 people as a smack rat why do drugs ruin people
@Jayman60804 жыл бұрын
Solo acts can be great but lack the depth of a full band. Not sure where the smack comment came from, can't find any evidence dude uses heroin. He's just a quiet, skinny dude
@RyanCrase19 ай бұрын
The funny thing about this comment to me is that I managed him from 2009-2012 and to this day he’s never even had a sip of liquor. He’s 1,000% straight edge and always has been. He doesn’t even curse. Maybe he’s said “damn or hell” but that’s about it. I’ve never heard him even say “f*ck or “shit.” Not kidding.

What do you mean used to be?
@luka36794 жыл бұрын
Gfw36026 I mean he is a great musician, but the early stuff got so much personality, now he sounds like more classic like other bands. Come back to the root ! 🤟

@@luka3679 this is just a snippet of the gig surly he’ll do all the old stuff , but an artist has to keep moving forward , I loved his solo performance on kxpn where he coverd The Chain , I’m going to see him next month , so I’ll let you know.
