One of the reiki symbols that is past on from reiki master to student during attunement is the Cho Ku Rei symbol which is also known as ‘the power symbol’ and is often used to cleanse and purify people and places. It can also be called upon to boost the powers of other reiki symbols.
Loosely translated ‘Cho Ku Rei’ means ‘the place of power of the universe here’ and it is represented by a coil like shaped symbol. This symbol can also be used to focus heal energy onto a particular part of the body during the process of reiki healing. By using this symbol over the top of a chakra a healer can send healing vibrations towards that particular chakra.
The power symbol is most effective when it’s used at the very start of a treatment and it’s best used alongside other symbols.

Reiki master is a very broad term.....find someone who has good energy, and learn from them, reiki is like radio the master is just the antenna, for the energy to pass threw to the receiver

... Actually, publishing this information goes against the practice of reiki. The symbols you receive knowledge of along with the attunements are only to be passed down from Master to student. In fact, when reiki was first practiced, the Master made sure all evidence of the symbols and practice of reiki were burned each time because the knowledge is sacred and only meant to stay in the minds of the healers, so had to be learned by heart. Once a student becomes a Master, only then can they pass that information along - to a student who receives the attunements.

It is not owned by a master. It has been held sacred for its power and cautioned to share publicly because those of not pure intentions will not find balance in its use. It does not mean it’s not powerful because one has not received attunement, but it’s only powerful when understood by the perceived through a connection to the universal knowledge; the third eye. Knowing the history of reiki can help teach why it was hidden in the first place.

I see your standpoint but Reiki has evolved and become more popular and is being encouraged to be learned while having a Reiki master or not having a Reiki master but the life force energy of source in general is open for all to tap into

chokurei starts from left to right in Usui reiki, reverse "chokurei" is used in Karuna reiki

I did for sure...I got level 1,2, abd 3 done but level 3 didnt include the attunement for being the complete Reiki master and being able to teach it and attune others that was another class she didn't call it level four but it was supposed to be another class and then I would get that but I just thought well I don't need to be able to do that anyway so I didn't get it but I still got levels 1 2 & 3...sometimes it seems people are making stuff up as they go along...
