Probably my parents offered me to taste alcohol when I was 13 , couple shots at 16 , 18 I just go all out if I want to drink with friends, so it's not that surprising especially if she's born and raised in PH

I never met someone that has the same experience as urs lmao, we wanted to taste alcohol at that age but we would be chased by our parents with slippers and walis ting ting if we so much go near or touch alcohol at that age, i was able to taste alcohol at age 20, some of my peers at 17 or 18

​@@FUJOSHI001 it's because of how strong filipino alcohols are, especially if you are used to Red horse, Gin, Emperador, Tanduay etc. Then drinks such as sour lemons and umeshu would look like water compared to the filipino drinks.
