This map is on the overpowered side when you are playing a Russian CV because of the max dmg output depending on the distance You can hug the island,while being immune to majority of things,and only other CV can dislodge you Chalakov or Pobeda do this role perfectly,Chaka a bit better because of bigger squad size and different coposition of plane types

Here's what's baffling me about Russian torp attacks. Since you have to hit G right after you launch torps, you don't get to see how bad your aim was if you missed or had just one torp hit. This is frustrating because it impedes learning how much lead is required with different ships. To stick around to watch means destruction of your squadron. Is there any way around this problem?

drop your fighter outside their max aa range / air spotting range so you can see the ship. After dropping the torps, don't recall the camera and just watch the torps go
