That happy couple who are dancing will always remember the night they danced to Reina del Cid. Music makes lovely memories.

Holy shit (excuse my language). Carson and Reina: Vocal match made in heaven. Josh's voice adds a more homemade feel. I mean that in sincerest. Well done.

I have loved this since I was small and Patty Page had a hit with it. That is quite a guitar that Toni is picking. Anything bigger would have to be one of those Mexican bass guitars. Of course, Shecky Green, as a part of his comedy act, would put a rope on a double bass and play it like a guitar.

Tenessee Waltz. What is new? In the original version sung by Connie. Francis,. It's a woman who suffers that her friend stole his lover. Reina del Cid sings that a man suffers because his friend stole his girlfriend, Men and women are equal in love or in sufferance. That' s new.

Jack White says the greatest country song ever written was, I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry, dawg gone Luke the Drifter. When you're playing and they're dancing! Oh, baby. Tight harmonies. Great, not good, Great strings.
@EclecticHillbilly5 жыл бұрын
I'd tend to agree with White but there's no doubt this song here is a classic. And little known trivia, Pee Wee King and Redd Stewart said they got the idea for this song after hearing Bill Monroe's Kentucky Waltz. Both waltzes and both great songs.
@gillygil8747 Жыл бұрын
@@EclecticHillbilly : Eclectic Hillbilly. The beauty of this question is that it is a matter of taste. And, there is no accounting for it. Just like the ladies. Some like a woman that is "Statuesque, raven-tressed, a goddess of the night." Some prefer those "Fat Bottomed Girls". Jack White, Rachel, you and I are free to have our own opinion of the greatest song ever written. Having sat on a blanket in the late seventies and early eighties and sipped wine from a skin listening to Bill Monroe, I get it. Far as Bill Monroe? Big Mon always got me up and movin'. Of course, Heavy Traffic Ahead was a favorite as well. Nice to have a civil conversation on the internet.
