Just crazy how truly their roles were reversed. S2 Reiner was so obviously a villain and Eren a hero. Now Reiner is the one defending his home. I love Isayama.

Man there was so many things I never believed about Reiner. Never thought he could be the armored titan (I know it was obvious to some, but I was so absorbed in the story it kinda passed me), never thought he'd become so likeable, both before and after the reveal, and NEVER thought he'd survive (on several occasions). I know Eren gets most of the love in terms of character (and well deserved), but damn Reiner might have one of the best arcs in all forms of media. Incredible character all around. Just wish Bertholdt could've made it out as well.

@@TheZivin That's not what I was referring to. I'm talking about their writing as a character, not what they actually did in terms of evil actions. Both did horrible things, but no one really doubts that Eren is one of the best written protagonists in TV. Reiner gets love too, but I was just saying he deserves more attention for how well his arc is structured.

well done buddy. great remix. For me Reiner was my favorite character. He goes from a strong warrior to a damaged man. Despite all his remorse for his horrific sins he pushes forward ''as a warrior''.He becomes humanity's most human character in my view.He uses his pain as our armour. Kudos man. You've captured all of that.

@@Yunix_King I'm not sure. I used to say that death contains the only freedom, because you are freed from earthly bonds and limitations. But I realized that I don't know what happens after death, so how can I describe something that I don't know? Maybe death hides freedom, maybe it hides another prison. Then, I thought that freedom is gained through peace of mind, which can be achieved throughout life. When you are peaceful you feel happy and safe, so maybe freedom is hidden in those feelings. Or, perhaps, freedom is nothing more than an illusion, born of the hope of the weak soul.

To clarify, all the sounds in this cover are reproduced by me (I even used the same choir library as Sawano to match up the vowel sound accurately). The choir part at 2:52 is transcribed from the original Vogel Im Kafig @ 5:09 here; kzbin.info/www/bejne/fmiZkKiNZquhqdEsi=xk5RhrHnDFfoUGu6&t=309 However, the Vogel from Season 1 uses 8DIO Requiem choir (I think Yamamoto used it for Footsteps of Doom as well), where as YOUSEEBIGGIRL/Apple Seed uses 8DIO Lacrimosa.
