I just got the blue Ankylo like this. Its kinda chunky, but it feels really solid. If I had to nitpick they could have made the bevel that goes around the scales smoother. When I am holding it, it doesnt really bother me though. I like the smooth blue scales, in some ways it is a cleaner look without the frag. You are 100% right it isnt slippery without the frag, I was a little worried about that. My production version has the lefty carry option. Definitely a recommended knife, I really like it.

Vosteed is absolutely KILLING IT. They're my new favorite knife company. They aren't priced ridiculously for what you get. The esthetics are great, ergos great, and quality of the materials, fit, and finish are all a great value. The Thunderbird is still one of my favorite and most carried knives.

Simpler lock mechanism than reate pivot lock. Hopefully the magnet doesn’t attract too many metal shavings

I got in on the Truffles on Kickstarter in Aug. 2023 and should have it end of April or beginning of May. I believe it has a similar lock mechanism. Did you review the truffles and I just missed it? I know the prototype was passed around to youtubers to review the knife.

Forgot to say I likey this new design and the size looks good the 3-3.50 length blade and the lock design. I think the design has proven reliable on other versions of knives. May have to grab one when the right bill of materials spark my interest.

Do you find the smoothy blue slippery? I was thinking more of a frag pattern Ankylo, but the smoothy blue looks great too.
