Let's just be real, TSM just had a rough LAN. The bad starts combined with the bad zones and not winning 3 v 3, and when they did, they would get thirded immediately. This just wasn't their tournament. I think this LAN will help TSM make changes for the next LAN.

You DEFINITELY should not get hate for speaking facts on TSM. I am a TSM fan and even I can say they struggled mightily. We can definitely look at the bad zones and the contests but I definitely didn't see the same chemistry on TSM that I did on DZ or Reject. Hal getting caught over-extending or not close enough to his team way way too often in team fights. I saw Verhulst getting picked off on rotates far too much as well. Reps also didn't have that clutch gene. Compared to DZ who as begrudgingly as it is to say were near flawless. They swung everything together, their team fighting was near perfect they seemed much more comfortable on their rotates and they did get far better zone rng than TSM but if they switched POIs I still thought DZ would have outperformed them. when I cant recall

Yes zones were stupid , that's respawns fault and there is no excuse for the similarities of zone endings. The disadvantages of having to rotate to the other side of the map cannot be understated. But I think TSM biggest issue is Evan looking average, he was undoubtedly the best controller player last year.

Saying TSM is on fraud alert even if it just a joke is just a braindead comment if you ask me. Did TSM get frustrated and make some uncharacteristic mistakes, sure, but there is a lot to unpack there. 1. TSM got 1 zone out of like 28. 2. TSM has struggled on Stormpoint this season, but it was hard to judge because Teq\MEAT had been contesting TSM throughout pro league and then RR continued to contest TSM on SP during International Scrims so many figured that once the the contests ended, things at LAN all would be fine. Personally, i don't think Lightning Rod is where i would want to land but it is obvious that TSM struggled getting to the southern part of the map and with the crazy ending zone pulls that happened the entire tournament, TSM was consistently in bad positions IMO. 3. TSM has always been dominant on World's edge and despite being contested by OXY, WTD, MEAT and i'm probably missing someone else here, TSM was still able to find good late rotates and force their way into good positions with beacon knowledge. On SP, the map is just so skewed to big advantages with large elevation differences, certain buildings are far stronger than others, and choke points that teams can hold other teams out fairly easily, that this map having PRIO on is just much more important than WE. 4. Even in LAN, TSM was double contested by RR and WTD. 5. WE TSM's best map by far, it was almost all trials and skyhook zones, which is literally about the worst zone for TSM coming from Lava Siphon. Sure TSM's one win the entire tournament was a north skyhook zone, but that is still a bad spot for TSM. What went really bad for TSM this time was the number of zones that were in No Name \ overlook that usually TSM does pretty well in, but some of those zone pulls were crazy. For anyone to argue about some of these zone pulls in this tournament, you obviously don't know shit about apex or you didn't watch. Anyone watching the games can see as clear as day that all the top teams were early rotating to certain spots, some of which that had beacon knowledge, and consistently they were all wrong. I can think of at least 15 games where the late end zone pulled somewhere NO ONE predicted, you can see as clear as day on th map not even 1 team was in a building or in some of these late game zones. Now as a spectator, sure it was fun to watch the chaos and all the early fighting and not as much sitting in zone doing nothing for 10 mins compared to prior LAN's, but that part aside, since TSM was doing a ZONE strat on WE and not playing edge at all, getting the zones completely wrong really hurt TSM. Sure we can criticize that TSM seemed ill prepared and uncharacteristically lost in a lot of their zone calls, but so did the overwhelming majority of other teams as well. No one seemed to have a particularly good grasp of end zone calls in this tournament. The teams that were dominating this LAN were mostly the edge teams, FNC, Regret, LGND, e8, Aurora, DSG etc..... DZ is was the only zone team that did well in this lan and they are obviously one of the top 3v3 fighting teams but they also got a lot of zones right on top of them, but in fairness they closed those games out and got a lot of kills doing it and looked damn good in this LAN. I don't think the meta was great for anyone in particular during international scrims and pro league, but when you throw in these wild, unpredictable zones, the edge teams benefitted so much and the zone teams were in shambles. All in all, your comments about TSM and their performance this lan seem pretty shallow and to be honest not very knowledgeable. Sure TSM didn't play to their normal level, but they had a lot of things happen to them this LAN that would probably throw anyone off their game. They were double contested again, which caused a lot of late rotates with a team comp they wouldn't normally use but had to because of the 50 \ 50 RNG aspect of contests, plus they got no zones, the zones they usually do pretty well in were crazy pulls for everyone and surprised all teams not just TSM etc....and with all of that it is pretty easy to see why TSM struggled which probably led to them playing tight, hesitant and uncharacteristically not as aggressive. There were a lot of things at play here and TSM was consistently one of the top teams in international scrims along with DZ, Moist, FNC, and No regret. So i think this was just a confluence of factors that happened at LAN and not a skill or washed up issue.

Probably didn't make a huge difference but no team had more distractions within Apex and their ability to prep for LAN than TSM. when the game and it's security is in shambles it shows that teams can suffer for it. You can always chalk it up to bad play which is probably the biggest reason they struggled.

I attended the LAN since it was only a 30 minute drive from where I live. Would definitely do it again and I highly recommend anyone who can attend one to do so. Here in LA the crowd was crazy and although TSM HQ resides here, many fans of certain teams were cheering along for other teams aswell. The games were so fun to watch but I must say: PLEASE FOR FUCKS SAKE CHANGE % OF CHANCES A POI CAN GET. THERES NO WAY WE GOT 3 TRIALS ZONE IN A ROW IN LOSERS ROUND 2 AND LIKE 30 MORE OF THOSE ACROSS ALL LAN. It's gonna kill the game

If that list of teams for split 2 is accurate, I feel bad for the teams towards the bottom of group B, you have pretty much every NA power house in that other than a few, most notably is DZ. Other that a few in other groups the upper half of group B is the big teams in NA, TSM LG OG MOIST COL, so many crazy teams and for the teams like EEC, bored, ect. They will really have to prove themselves for this split

About TSM; it's almost a team of 2, I think Reps is a great guy with a lot of talent but he's a 1 legends man and unfortunately for him Fuse isn't part of their schedule, if you always have to ask your igl ;it's okay if I smoke here?, is it okay if I use my ultimate now?, and so on, then there is no point in him playing that character Verhulst needs to either become the entry fighter or work diligently on his movement/placement on the map and timing when he has to do what, he is so often knocked out by being too open or opting for healing at times instead of helping his team, however when your watching his streams he is good at it (but he plays with a different character) and Hal, what can you say; he tries to do too much instead of using his team, admittedly it is clear that it is necessary because without Hal TSM is really a very average team in apex especially considering the competition is only getting better

That whole E8 and O7 thing was so unfortunate. Both play so well from Ceto and I understand why they both wanted the POI. The fights on WE were just rotate conflicts sadly. Zach and Gnaske are 2 of my favorite personalities and it’s just so tragic how it worked out. Glad they still found W’s tho🫶🏻
