Well, I think both brands are absolutely not comparable. This Prada bag is cute and trendy, but imo, Hermès bags will remain number 1 in the market in terms of bag history, durability and leather quality. Because of all these influencers wearing Hermès quota bags like they are wearing Zara, people tend to ignore how much Hermès is an incredible Maison.

The Hermes lady is actually great! Thumbs up for her honesty and explaining how things work. Imagine if all SAs would be honest: To qualify for the X bag you need to spend Y amount of money, preferably on these item categories. It would be such a nice and straightforward experience!

I used to feel every time I went in my local Nordstrom was a “social shopping experiment “😂 especially if I was using a logo bag and not leather. I'm not against buying expensive designer bags. What I can't understand is WHY anyone would put up with the RUDENESS of the company as a whole. You say she was nice--and yet no other designer house would train/encourage/instruct their SAs to say the things she said to you, nor would set up their production that their SAs would HAVE to say these things to you. If you have the money, they should be falling all over themselves to sell a bag to you. Even if you aren't buying anything at the moment and just looking, they should be catering to you.

The Prada bag is super pretty. Beautiful for this summer. Looks great on you. I’ve had my nylon Prada backpack for 11 years or more and it still looks brand new. The webbing is pristine. That’s with heavy use. I guess the Hermes SA gave you some truths which is good & the tips of what places you will more likely get the bag. Last week I called Hermes Montreal to make an appointment and the lady who picked up the phone asked whether I am locally from Montreal. I said yes I now work here but my id is still the Ontario one with my Toronto home address. She then said she could not take me because due to the limited number of shipment nowadays, they prefer to accommodate local shoppers first. This is ridiculous! I don't think my Toronto home store refused to take people who live in the city but IDs are from Quebec!!!

Girl, I just made a video a couple weeks ago saying the exact thing that this SA told you! I'm in NYC and even here unless you are a well established customer you need to be ok with getting Birkins and Kellys in larger sizes (i.e. 32s, 35s. etc) Stock is really limited!!!
