Rejuvenate a Clogged Sand Point Well

If you've got an old clogged sand point driven well head you want to re-use, this is a simple way to breathe some lime back into it. It takes a while and it won't bring it back around 100% but boy can it make a big difference!

I use muriatic acid to clean the well points. Do it in a 3 inch pvc. Soaks for 15 minutes then flip well point and let soak for another 15 minutes. Then rinse. Works every time.

I poured Nu-Well pellets down my sand point that my dad and grandfather pounded into the ground in 1959 and let it set for a good 24 hours. Cleared it right up. Had to flush the well out a lot to finally get the water clear of the Nu-Well chemical taste and get it to run clear again.

You can get 30% vinegar it’s about 5 times stronger than household vinegar. Works good as a weed killer too.

If you poured muriatic acid over the whole thing it will literally clean in about an hr

Muriatic acid is the only way to go. Waste of time using vinegar and wire wheeling it
