It will be really amazing if you can make a video guide on sand and gravel tanks. Thank you 🙏

Hi! Please see if you can share illustrations / examples of what kind of rocks to use with what kind of aquascape - from your perspective, of course! Many thanks.

Very good question, never really thought about it. First in aquascapes you should try and use rocks which do not affect the water chemistry, like pure volcanic rocks like Frodo, Manten, various course lava rocks. These rocks do not affect the pH and hardness and hence great for planted tanks which needs soft water mostly. Some rocks like Ryuoh, Seriyu, Dragon are very good to look at but then they tend to make water hard. They especially Ryuoh , Seriyu are great for African Cichlid setups. If you want to use them in aquascapes then you need to either use very very softwater or use some water softneing agent like ADA Softwater. This is a pretty involved topic, lets see if I can make a video on it

Can this root tabs work on sand instead of soil?
@ripplesnatureinspiredaquar68708 ай бұрын
Yes they can. But soil has an added advantage in planted tank as it also acts a buffering agent

Dada, can we use small quantity of seaweed solution for aquatic plants as a micronutrient..Will it harm the Fish.. kindly respond pls..
@ripplesnatureinspiredaquar6870 Жыл бұрын
This is an interesting idea. There are many reference of using sea weed solutions in gardening but I have never tried out for aquariums. Sea weed solution contains beneficial trace elements and hormones and should ideally be helpful but then there are not many references. This article (www.plantedtank.net/threads/seaweed-extract.31491/) suggests an increase of water pH, so we can always do an experiment and try out as any sudden pH change will be detrimental for both plants and fish. Will be an interesting experiment to carry out and see

Do Rhizome plants like Anubias Nana petite also benefit from this Root Tabs ?should we remove the capsule coating before putting it in the soil
@ripplesnatureinspiredaquar6870 Жыл бұрын
Rhizome plants can benefit if they are having their roots sent to the substrate. It depends on where you are placing the Anubias. No there is not need to remove the capsule coating

Is it applied to only acquirium plant ? Can I use it other plants also ? Pl comment
@ripplesnatureinspiredaquar6870 Жыл бұрын
These root tabs are designed for aquatic plants only. For terrestrial plants it is better to use products like Osmocote or going for a properly designed soil mix

If you consider the fact that it normally lasts much longer than some of the other popular (and cheaper) root tabs, the over a longer time horizon may work out to be lesser. in addition the product definitely have a few technical edge over some of it's competitors as we have touched in our video
