All evidence is introduced on the same level. It all means equally nothing out of the mouth of a lawyer or witness. The judge decides as a matter of law whether it's hearsay and admissable, and the jury decides as a matter of fact of everything in front of them what is truth or lie

Actually the miscategorization of the expense is significant- at best that should be classed as a personal expense- at worst it’s a campaign contribution. The effect of saying it’s legal fees and thus a business expense is that it lowers the corporations net income, which lowers its taxes, or lowers the pass through income to the individual taxpayer. 360k has a lot of tax implications. If it was a campaign donation, the money would have to come from DJT personally or it exceeds donation limits by a Corp, trust or LLC. If it had to go to DJT personally first before it could go out, there are significant taxes that would be owed in transferring it to the individual taxpayer. Even if it’s a pass through entity, the expensing it messes up the capital basis or any carry forward losses. It’s probably in the neighborhood of 75k-200k in federal taxes owed that just got obscured. NYS also got obscured.

As a common man I've heard about rich people having lawyers on a monthly budget/retainer but it's not something that me personally can't relate too. I've used a lawyer once in my adulthood for a divorce. Did I itemize my bill? No I didn't. I got what I expected, paid my bill and moved on with my life. That was just 1 thing I had to deal with.
