I'm going to ride my bone stock RM250 for the next year 25 original hours. That said, just for nostalgia reasons. I'll look to the Radius X sooner than later so I can enjoy riding more time with less fatigue on a 2 stroke. Thanks for the video.

My one bike is a 350 XC-F and I have the rekluse auto in that as well as that bike was a stall machine, which the rekluse completely eradicated. Then I dumped the foot brake and installed a Brembo #9 mill left hand rear brake with an adapter above the clutch lever with a custom line straight to the rear caliper....let me tell you I'm at least 20% faster on this bike now than before in the woods. So much more control and braking modulation. It's just so much better. I rarely ever touch the clutch lever now.

You have a left hand clutch and LH rear brake?

@@RM-jb7ig correct. 2 brembo Master cylinders with a 28mm riser spacer to make room.

I added the left hand brake , love it. Mtb guy new to moto 2 years. Coming into corners I can keep my feet in place and exiting- especially right corners I can control my corners -drag the rear brake if needed to keep me in the rut. I am othg 53 guy and love this setup for me. I only use the clutch on starts. I can focus more on my body position/technique which as a newbie I need. Hopefully will meet up for some coaching- talked with you recently.

I'm running a rekluse auto in my 2021 yz450f and I love it. the only thing I don't like is the clutch is super stiff as per the adjustment instructions. I only touch the clutch on exit of corners sometimes

It does have a little stiffer pull. I probably don’t notice on the Honda as much because of the hydraulic clutch. Also, have you played with the exp springs? I tried stiffer, which had way too much freewheel for me. The standard were okay, but still a little more freewheel than I liked. The soft springs make it to where you would never know you had an auto clutch until you needed it.

@@180mxtraining7 I haven't messed with the springs. mine isn't the exp it's the auto but not the top of the line. it's actually perfect with the regular ones. only took me maybe a day to get used to have a little less engine braking going into corners

The information your offering is not looked into nearly enough by vet moto guys. 👍

So when running the auto clutch, are you touching the clutch lever at all, or are you just letting the auto clutch do all of the work? I run an auto clutch, but I tend to use the clutch lever pretty much the same.

I’m mainly just using the clutch on exit. I really just ride with it the same. I think just the confidence mid corner, where I know I can’t stall or make a mistake, is where I gain the speed. With the manual clutch, as soon as I make a mistake or I’m not lined up correctly, my first instinct is to pull the clutch in to save myself from stalling or falling

In terms of percentage, how much would you say engine braking can be reduced by, at maximum? I'm thinking about running one to let the bike freewheel more like a 2-smoke & free up the suspension/chassis & increase roll speed. Thanks!

They have different springs that come with the exp disc. You can increase the point it free wheels by using the different springs. I tend to run the ones that freewheel a little bit more. It gives a similar feeling of a two stroke.

Adding graphics to the auto clutch bike might cut down lap times too🤷‍♂️
