@@rhiannongreen2642 i'm not against relationships, but it turned from a comedy primarily about nerds and their hobbies into a hobby about nerds being bullied by their girlfriends and gradually losing all those hobbies. at first, even with penny, it was different, she used them a bit but she wasn't outright mean and it was entertaining watching leonards bumbling attempts to get her to like him, she wasn't really a good person at the start (using the guys to get stuff) but she wasn't terrible like the girls became in the later seasons, though i don't think she was as bad as bernadette and amy.

I agree in the cases of Bernadette and Penny - their relationships are the typical sucky sitcom relationships of "manchild lives with motherwife" - but Amy is the biggest nerd on the show next to Sheldon. And she had to put up with a lot from him. But given that she's madly in love with him, she was willing to put in the work and both of them developed tremendously thanks to their relationship.

@@curious1366 I just think Amy is rude. When she was first introduced she was appallingly rude to Leonard, Howard and Raj. So is Sheldon, but there are moments of levity in between his social ineptness. And even later on, she was possessive of Penny to the point of openly disregarding Bernadette’s feelings (though she was re-written into an absolute monster after a few seasons, herself) and regularly making everything, including Penny and Leonard’s wedding, all about her. And the way she behaved with Will Weaton on that episode where they were trying to film a celebrity Fun with flags was when I desperately hoped someone would put her in her place, or Sheldon would dump her. If you need more, I’ve got plenty more.
