Relationships: Expectations vs Reality. Watch the part 3 of Why Most Realtionships Fail to understand how relationships suffer when expectations and reality differ. In this third part of the series 'Why Relationships Fail', Swami Mukundananda deep dives into the role of set expectations in relationship conflicts. In a Family, the husband, wife, and their kids have their own set of expectations for each other, which when not met results in confusion and anger. Set expectations can break any kind of relationships in long-term.
In the next part of the Relationship series, Swami Mukundananda will explain why expectations can’t be met all the time in relationships. The understanding of it will help us get one more step closer towards making our relationships successful.

Excellent video on how expectations kill relationships! Everyone's temperament is in a constant state of flux, hence expectations cannot be met every time. Understanding this, one can modify their behavior and maintain peace and calm. Thank you for sharing this valuable knowledge!

Swamiji says that selfishness in marriage kills a relationship. Both spouses expect gratitude from the other for their respective roles. Unfulfilled expectations destroy love in marriage as well as in spirituality. Swamiji asks us to understand that expectations cannot be met by everyone all the time because of changes in our chitta-vritti or temperament. Thank you, Swamiji!

Getting to the root of all relationship problems...Our selfish nature. Worst, we take the same selfishness when we pray to God... Biggest impediment and a black stain on the pure path of Selfless love..may we all strive with full devotion to enhance our selfless attitude 🙏 RadheyGovinda❤

Swamiji has demystified the very essence of all futile human relationship struggles so well! Soul to Soul can't give each other happiness, as they are not each other's match and all jeevas are bankrupt till they meet God. Second, within the Maya Realm, the rotation of the 3 chitta vrittis that don't let people get along. Selfish nature of the hungry and incomplete soul is but natural, as we are Ansh of Ananda separated from Ananda, seeking it desperately with the use of all 5 senses externally seeking it. Ananda is inside, met through grace which is achieved by Rupa dhyan meditation and bhakti alone. So we should understand that the Mayic realm is designed to break our hearts till we develop Vairagya and turn towards God. That way, relationships failing can be seen as grace of god to wake up the lazy child from distractions and motivate him/ her towards eternal bliss back home.

Beautifully explained by Swamiji the root cause of anger due to expectations from others. This is due to the variance in the mindset of everybody. The expectations that we do keep from others in family or friends cause the problem. With these we will not be able to do our work selflessly but with selfishness. The same expectations if we have it from God which causes problem in having unflinching faith towards Him. Thank you Swamiji for the beautiful gems of wisdom... cannot wait to see the other videos continued...

In this video #SwamiMukundananda elaborates further on expectations. Not only does he provide examples from our closest relationships such as family, but then explains how we bring those same selfish expectations in our devotion to God. A must watch video!

Couldn't laugh more - We have expectations with God as well and when God doesn't meet them, then we get annoyed. Then how about our relationships in the world. The expectations in a relationship can never be completely met all the time, so set expectations and hoping that they will be satisfied is a recipe for all relationship problems.
