For those screaming "remove the sacs!"... I read an interview once with a woman with this condition and she said she's had them removed both ways, just squeezed or fully removing the sacs, but with the nature of this disorder, some will reoccur and some won't even with the sac removal. But the sac removal procedure is so much more invasive that it requires local freezing and left her with tons of scars so she actually prefers this method of relieving the discomfort rather than the full sac removal 😊

If you watch Dr Pimple Popper and Mr Popzit, American Dermatologists, they don't always go after the sacks of Steatocystomas either. It usually depends on the patient and some test extractions. Sometimes going after it leaves an unsightly dent that the owner finds as troubling as the bump. Local anesthetic, though is better to have if you can get it!

@@gregedmand9939 I've been watching dr. Pimome popper aka dr. Lee and she always removes the sacs. She admits that new ones can very much reappear but she always removes the sacs. Cause those will probably refill and add up to new cysts so unless you remove the sacs emptying them is pointless

@@kathylozito1329 I got this from a dermatology website. Vellus hairs are fine, blond hairs normally growing on the face, trunk and limbs (in contrast to terminal hairs, which are longer, pigmented, and mainly arising on the scalp, beard, underarms and pubic area). How they get in cysts, I don’t know. There are some people with medical knowledge on here. Maybe they’ll see your question.

Not necessarily, the sacs of a steatocystoma's are extremely thin walled and the body is often able to reabsorb them once disrupted like this. This literally broke my heart. The skin is so young, which means so is the person; with this many steatocystomas in their belly and both sides. So many smaller ones in a row and almost on top of one another. To have this many she must just be coming to poor Thuy for drainage. It is only going to get worse if those sacs are not removed as her body produces more and more steatocystomas. The ones Thuy drained this day will fill up again and again and get larger, if something more thorough is not done. She really needs to go to a doctor who is qualified to remove the sacs so at least these would not come back. It is the only way she can have less each time is to have the sac completely removed at the same time as the drainage. With the quantity she has now, to remove all those sacs, is bloody well going to hurt. I can only hope if she goes to a doctor that he injects lidocaine into each of the medium & larger sacs to remove the quantity she has today. This is not counting the amount that will grow in her body before she takes her condition more seriously than dumping it on poor Thuy. Someone needs to talk to this young person and tell her that just because sometimes they may take a while to refill is no excuse to just let them amass in her body like that. She needs to be talked to about the reality of her condition. If they bother her enough to visit Thuy now, I wonder how she is going to feel in the future when she has twice as many. Drainage alone is no solution for steatocystomas. I must say though, Thuy was really thorough in finding the vast majority of them. I was impressed. Plus, Thuy has really gotten quite good at completely draining steatocystomas. I've watch some techs who couldn't hit one if it was right at the end of their nose, let alone find one first.

Silly, they will always come back, sac removed or not. Even Dr Sandra Lee has said so. She prefers to remove the sac if it’s possible, but it’s not always possible. In this case Thuy tries to do as little damage as possible because her clients aren’t anesthetized. Thuy isn’t a doctor, she’s an esthetician. That’s also why she isn’t aggressive in poking a hole into a pocket of sebum. She’s trying to reduce the pain of Steatocystomas. Medical insurance in Vietnam doesn’t cover things like acne, cysts or Steatocystoma. Most people can’t afford to see a doctor, the average Vietnamese earns about $6.00USD a day. People are very lucky to have someone like Thuy to help them and who is gentle and caring. Someone who cares enough to limit scaring on an incurable condition. I would also like to mention that the aforementioned Dr Lee has seen videos of Thuy’s work and has said how good she is at her job.
